it appeared to have gone bad as speeds would randomly dip and just be all over the place when connected specifically to the extender's SSID. Replaced with this new Netgear extender and we are back in business. We get 30mbps on our cabled desktop and get 28-29mbps upstairs in the kitchen now consistently. So virtually no speed loss. Set up is really easy, I would just use the browser setup option. Can't comment on durability and longevity but if we can get another 3-4 years I'd be more than happy as this one was much cheaper than the prior.

 I currently have all ac standard devices for personal use. The Netgear extender boosted the signal from 29mbs to 79 mbs in the device furthest from the base station. You have an option to enable the Netgear to extend either or both 2.4 or 5g networks. Did both,now better signal on Roku device. I set up the device using an ipad. Follow the simple instructions and this is as easy as replacing a light bulb. Just make sure you reconnect any device to the new network and don’t forget your passwords.

With this little extender I don't have to switch between other devices at my home. Great signal strength, easy to set up and works really well. Little tip, if you can, try placing it higher than you would normally do, very close to the floor that is, that's where most of sockets are. I installed mine at about 1.7m above the floor and this improved spread and strength of the signal a lot.

 But this extender has completely solved that issue. Since I got it about a week ago my game hasn't lagged once, I have a good picture, and I can join parties and chats with no issues. I've never done a product review but this wifi extender was worth it. If you're having issues with a poor connection or slower upload speeds, I highly recommend this wifi extender.

Our WiFi is downstairs and the signal upstairs was very weak. I followed the enclosed instructions and within 5-10 minutes I was able to set it up through my browser. I highly recommend this, especially if you have teenagers in the house, who are constantly online draining your signal. Being able to name the newly created networks is a nice feature.

I bought this to help with streaming issues on second floor. Our router is on the first floor and needed a boost on the second floor for streaming. This resolved our problem. It is easy to set up. We even took it on vacation to use. You have to reset, but it worked fine. They have different sizes for the amount of area you need to cover.

 They are all working very well and I can use my wifi anywhere around my home with very powerful network. One of products had some ip issue, has helped me fast and nice. And eventually, they replaced it to new one shortly. All progress was clean and smooth. I will buy these products again if I have more spaces for wifi extension. 

I bought this after trying a WIFI extender. It connected straight away and uses the same network so no additional setup. It extended the 5g signal into a previous black spot so I get the benefit of a fibre connection across the whole house. It took a couple of minutes to connect fully for each device.
