Perfect For My Needs!
I wanted a sprayer for olive oil. I eat "healthy" popcorn every single night; by healthy I mean I coat it lightly in olive oil, add some garlic salt and shake it around in a bowl to distribute everything - as opposed to microwave popcorn with all sorts of junk added. But I've been using an oil drizzler bottle and I know I've been using more oil than necessary. I was considering a Misto, in fact I was quite decided on one until I happened to see this option. I looked at both items in a kitchen supply store where I could get a feel for both firsthand. I liked the fine mist concept of the Misto but what really sold me on the Evo was the large size; it holds 18 ounces as opposed to Misto which only holds about 2 1/2 ounces! Since I use it every night, that's a lot less refilling for the Evo.The Evo does not spray a fine mist, be sure you know that. It's a spray, but much heavier than a mist. It sprays in a fan shape, a little wider than I'd prefer but since my main use is on large bowls of popcorn it's no big deal. The spray might be a bit wide to coat very small baking pans but should be fine for regular size pans. It hasn't clogged yet as others have mentioned. It's very ergonomic to hold, it feels nice in the hand. It comes with rubber band type labels with various oils in case you want to have a few of these. One thing I really like is the included funnel, which is small but screws right onto the bottle, so it doesn't wobble all over the place while you're refilling it. That turned out to be a surprisingly handy feature for me, it makes refilling easy and neat. The oil doesn't leak out of the sprayer and run down the bottle either, which it tends to do with my drizzle bottle. I also like that I don't need to pump it each time I use it - to me that just means one less thing to go wrong. So far no complaints at all. It was worth every penny, especially now that I'm using much less olive oil on my nightly popcorn!**UPDATE August 26 2015** I have discovered I can't live without this thing, it's my go-to kitchen gadget. I use it for far more than the popcorn I mentioned in my original review above, I use it to coat baking pans, frying pans, everything. I'd say I use it every day for one thing or another. The other day I foolishly left it too close to a hot pan and burned a hole in the bottle, I was furious. These aren't cheap, but I knew I had to replace it immediately, so I ordered another and just the 2 day wait for Prime delivery was torture. The new one is here now and life is good again. I seriously love this thing.

Evo Answers The Mail
The Evo oil trigger spay bottle is a real hit with me and I have purchased two sprayers. The spray head is the key element and puts out a uniform fan shaped spray. Now for some who want an aerosol spray the output of the spray head will be too much. That said I have tried several oil sprayers that have an aerosol like spray and each one I have experimented with clogs and requires frequent cleaning and maintenance. Moreover these spayers are pump-up sprayers. For me this was a non starter. I just fumbled into the Evo oil sprayer – it never clogs and over the several months I have used it never had to soak the spray head in warm soapy water, perfec, and no pumping, just pull the trigger. For me the quantity of oil the spray emits is just fine – and it is fun to use – The head produces a high velocity fan like spay of about two inches at about one foot distance. I am mostly a vegetarian and use it for both my vegetables and spinach and red cabbage lunch, spreading slightly diced spinach on a cutting board and spraying it with the Evo. I do this to obtain an even coating of oil on the spinach which is not possible while the spinach is in a serving bowl. Previously, no matter how careful I was in pouring expensive virgin olive oil, there would be a deposit of oil at the bottom of the bowl. But now with the Evo the bottom of the bowl is virtually free of unused oil that has made it way over the spinach and uselessly to the bottom of the bowl. I do not use this technique with my vegetables, I don’t need to. I also keep the Evo sprayer on the table where I have lunch in the event I want to give my meal an extra spurt (sometimes just for fun). The spray is quite precise and jets out of the head arriving at the food with an audible “crash”. Nice. The bottle is large enough (18 oz I think) and does not require frequent re-filling. Now the trigger can, after some use, get just a bit slippery with oil and I wipe it off with my serving napkin – that is just me, I am a bit fussy. The bottle is handsomely constructed and tinted with the color of virgin olive oil (yellow tinted). I hasten to add I would have preferred a glass bottle but the plastic is high quality, thick and strong. It makes a attractive addition to the table. In all the time I have used the Evo it never has clogged and I have never cleaned the head in warm soapy water – others may “feel better” to periodically soap up the head, not me. Other spay bottles have been a complete frustration for me, even when I did a warm soapy water cleaning of the head what still resulting is not an aerosol spray but a tiny single stream (weak stream), notwithstanding how much a pumped up the pressure in the aerosol spay bottle. Moreover the Evo sprayer does not require a pumping mechanism, a real advantage and improvement over other oil spray bottles. How cool is that. Not satisfied with one Evo I purchased a second Evo, not for spaying oil but for spaying my potted plants, replacing my current plant sprayers with the Evo sprayer. The Evo oil sprayer is an advancement over other pump-up oil sprayers. Have fun.

Adequate spray bottle for olive oil and worth the price
This product is a perfectly adequate spray bottle for olive oil. I have used mine for five years and now need to replace it. The top was designed so that it was difficult to use all of the oil in the bottle before having to refill it. It also was messy at the spray mechanism. If you want something more than adequate, you may want to buy something else. Otherwise, this product is worth the price I paid.
