the magnetic base, with integrated carabiner, swivels for positioning, it has a little nail hanger too....good and bright for sure, about half way between a task light and a work light, i would call it a Personal work light for sure ... that it will fit in anyone's tool bag is why it is a work light ... and if you already have some 12V Bosch power tools, ( like me ), it is way worth a go ... but if you don't have any of the Bosch 12V power tools, you might not understand how good this work light is ... it's like the power tools, nuf said.

This is my new go-to light solution. I reach for this light, first.First off, it is bright! Able to make any dimly lit project a thing of the past.Second, it is sized nicely. Not overwhelmingly large or heavy. The rechargeable 12v batteries are light and last a long time. It fits into many small areas, where my other lights can’t.The light has a very strong magnet. Great for positively attaching to a steel surface. There is a lanyard like clip, making it great for attaching to your clothes or a backpack. The built in stand is dependable. There is also threaded hole that will fit most camera tripods.The light pivots through over 180 degrees of arc.I was kind of iffy about buying this light since I already have other lights. But was I wrong. For the vast majority of my projects, this is all the light I need.I brought it to work and used it to light up the inside of a couple of server tracks that I was building out. Just amazing. Even in a brightly lit room, I didn’t realize just how dark it was inside those racks until I used this. It is so much easier to attach the slides to the rack because the screw holes are so much easier to see.This is a two-thumbs, waaay up recommendation. No question: I’d buy it again in a heart beat. A couple of my coworkers are now looking at buying their own, after using mine.

This little light from Bosch is a gem! The LED bulbs are VERY bright, providing plenty of illumination. The carabiner, magnet and nail hook all provide a flexible array of mounting options. It also stands on its own extremely well. It has a solid feel in the hand and the battery run time is hours long. It will take any of the Bosch 12v batteries,. so no need to purchase a new battery. The 12v line from Bosch is first rate and this light is a great addition to the lineup.One issue -- the product box, even though it was shipped in an Amazon envelope, was in bad shape. The box looked like it had been beaten, punted, dragged and soaked. There was also a shipping label on the box addressed to another address. Hardly what one would expect in 'new' condition. I'm surprised Amazon even. shipped it. The light, however, was in perfect shape, functioned perfectly and obviously withstood the abuse the box was subjected to.

Update: Feb 1 2016:This week I discovered I can effortlessly clip this light on to the front of my overalls and and adjust the angle for effortless hands free lighting - it casts a wide beam so it makes it really easy to for instance, gather and load tools in the truck when the workday goes past sundown...The first light has taken a few falls from the top of a 6 foot scaffold with no issue. 2nd light is on the way. great product. 5 stars.Update: Jan 17 2016:This light is absolutely phenomenal ... recently started a substantial interior demolition project in a house that currently does not have electrical service. This light, although diminutive in size, provides a TON of usable light, for a very long time (I used it for over an hour this evening with no issue - have not tested to determine max run time).The adjustable base with integral magnet is AWESOME - I can easily drive a screw in the wall to hang the mount from, or use the magnet to stick the light on any flat steel surface on my scaffold, allowing work to continue as the sun goes down with no cords to trip over and absolutely no compromises.The light appears to be sturdy and built to withstand a reasonable amount of rough handling. I have zero qualms about putting it to work in a messy environment like an interior demo area ... Its a solid little package.I am planning on getting a 2nd light for additional coverage, along with a couple of lightweight inexpensive tripods to mount them on. Vivitar has a model under $25 that is widely available.If you are already a fan of Bosch's 12v platform ... this light is a MUST HAVE.-------------------------Original Review:I am a dedicated Bosch fan fully invested in their 12v line ... this light is a great addition to my assortment - plenty of brightness, appears to be sturdy (has not been exposed to a tremendous amount of abuse - yet) ... easy to adjust where you need it, and the magnet is a additional feature. I already have quite a few of the Bosch 12 Volt lithium ion tools. I find them useful for my age and work around the house and yard. I have been well pleased with the 12 volt system by Bosch. This light is very versatile with features that make it very well worth the money. The light is bright enough for my purposes. The abundance of hanging, mounting and set up options is very useful. These include magnetic, carabiner, tripod, nail hole, and flat surface tilt. Around the light surface there is a heat sync that will shut the light off if the temperature reaches 150 degrees. The light brightness is also adjustable. I live in Florida where hurricanes are a given. With the number of batteries that fit this light my family is better prepared as I keep them charged. I am impressed by the features and usefulness of this light and highly recommend it.
