Leader Ecovort 510 Manual - 1/3 HP - 2040 GPH

I last purchased this pump in 2016, so it lasted a little over three years, operating 24/7. We have two of these in our water feature pond and both died at the same time. If I knew of a pump with a longer life I would buy it, because there is always the expense of the service call to pull out the old pumps and put in the new ones.

Works as advertised, but they don't seem to last that long.I had one stop working after a year, and the warranty is only good for a year, I was SOL. The price is less then some other pumps, but I guess you get what you pay for

This is the second Ecovort pump we have purchased. The first ran 24/7 and lasted 8 years. Our water garden is 18' long and has a 3' rise to the waterfall and this pump does the job!

So far it is working well and like the previous Ecovort pumps but we did lose a slightly different Ecovort model pump this spring after only about 3 years which was very disappointing. These pricey pumps should last much longer then just 3 years or so, it would be nice if they had a 4 or 5 year warranty.

Update 12/2021: Pump #5 just died. 26 months on a pump with a 2 year warranty. So 8 years, 3.5 years, 3.5 years, and 0.5 years, 2.2 years. Planned obsolescence.Update 10/2019: No longer reliable, nor tough. Replaced that Ecovort from 9/2015 in 5/2019 - like the prior pump it lasted just over 3 and 1/2 years. However, this 4th pump [5/2019] just died today; after LESS THAN 6 MONTHS.2015: Reliable & tough. Had my 2nd one in the pond for over 6 years running 24 hours/day x 365 days/year. Ordered the 3rd in Sept 2015 directly from Webbs, which lasted only 3 and 1/2 years.Again, got an extra 15% off if you by going directly to the Webb's website.Bottom line: Downward trend in the quality or has Ecovort perfected planned obsolescence?Will be getting my next pump from a more reliable manufacturer.
