Country Harvest Popcorn Portion-Packs (24-Count)

If this is the style of pop corn you like, then its very good and simple to use. (Note that one of the bags in my box burst during shipping so I had oil all over everything. I had to clean the oil off of each individual bag, which is not a big deal, but was inconvenient)As alternative, you can just buy flavacol at Amazon and buy 'Snappy' brand 'butter burst' oil at amazon along with a good quality popping corn. The results will be the same - and perhaps a bit cheaper.After experimenting with various options, I've decided that what I like best is just a good quality pop corn such as Orville Redenbacker's (which you can get at Amazon in an 8 pound container) and pop it with ordinary vegetable oil. (I know many people say that coconut oil is the best for pop corn, but I can't tell the difference.) Then, melt butter and pour the butter over the pop corn, mix it and sprinkle with ordinary table salt.

We used these for our 8 oz popcorn machine container. The only problem was the popcorn kept getting stuck and then they were getting burned. There were also a couple of people that said it was too salty so we only added 1/2 of the salt and it was perfect. We also had to do 1/2 the oil and kernels at a time so that helped to keep from burning the popcorn. Next time I will order the 6oz. Bag for the 8 oz container. Other than that it was good popcorn.

We use these 8oz premeasured popcorn, salt/flavoring, oil packets two at a time in our 16oz Gold Medal popcorn machine. The premeasured packets ensure a consistently good result every time. (Paragon no longer makes a 16oz packet.)Recently, we've started omitting the salt/flavoring from the second packet in each batch - theoretically cutting the salt content by 50% - this still results in great tasting popcorn and makes our salt-conscious guests happy.We find it easier to empty the oil into the kettle if the packets are at a warm room temperature. This makes the oil flow freely from the pouch, instead of having to try to push out a solid piece from the packet.The coconut oil in the packet means our guests with peanut allergies (ie: peanut oil) can usually have this. Coconut is noted as the best oil to use in these high heat popcorn machines.While the cost may be slightly higher to use these packets over purchasing bulk popcorn, flavoring (ie: Flavacol), and oil (ie: NaksPop "sticks"), we find this much easier to use, and get a much more consistent flavor - batch to batch. The individual packets also keep the popcorn fresh and the moisture content of the popcorn consistent.

We used to get our popcorn from a local store where we bought our popper, but their price increases were getting out of hand, so we ordered a case of Country Harvest from Amazon. We were a little disappointed. It did not taste like the popcorn we were used to. There was just something off about the taste. We just recently decided to try Great Northern popcorn instead. I just did a side by side taste comparison and Great Northern was the clear winner. Country harvest had an odd chemical aftertaste and Great Northern tasted like the popcorn at the theater.Do yourself a favor and order Great Northern instead.

Good quality popcorn that tastes great. We've been very pleased with Country Harvest 4 oz packs. I'd give them 5 stars, but unfortunately 2 packs of our most recent shipment did not seal well for some reason. We've ordered this product before and never seen this happen, so I'd assume it was just a one in a million bump in the road.

We use this in our Roosevelt popcorn machine and have reordered this product many times. It’s dekicious! A tad more expensive than others but much better flavor in the popcorn!

partially satisfied....I've only used a few packets so far but of those: I like the "oil" but some of the packets resulted in less than fresh tasting popcorn, even when using my special whirly stirring popcorn popper. Perhaps I didn't have the pan/oil hot enough when I put in the popcorn, but I do try to wait and let the oil get hot as the whirly popcorn popper suggests and still have had a few packets not be as crunchy fresh as I expected. The popcorn itself is not really any different from store bought kernels. I think I will just buy the "oil" if possible when I have used up this supply.

This popcorn pops up really puffy and flavourful. Very convenient to use and almost all the kernels pop. Tastes just like at the theatres.

Great tasting popcorn at a decent price. I would absolutely recommend. Much better than alternatives that I tried, especially with free shipping available.
