Lots of easy to do ideas with supplies you already have in your home
I received an advanced copy of this book, so there was enough time to really, really go through this book and make a few projects. This isn't just another craft book for kids... This is your go to book! The book itself is stunning, the gorgeous photography and easy to follow instructions make you want to do all the crafts by yourself (kids can wait :). The craft ideas are really well thought through, there is a project idea for everyone and every occasion. From simple crafts, through wonderful process art to simple science projects - ALL with the use of recyclables that you are bound to have in your household. What I love most about this book, and there is a lot to love, is that most of the crafts have a purpose beyond just making them - it's not just about the process but the usefulness of ideas for further play - pencil holders, trinket box, mini theatre... There are just too many to count, but it is this that makes this book trully eco-conscious. You won't regret getting this book (nor will your kids).

Fabulous book
I bought this to help amuse my 5 year old grandson when we looked after him for a few days. It was really excellent, plenty of do-able ideas and he absolutely loved it. After a full day making superhero masks, toilet roll butterflies, and an egg box caterpillar he didn’t want to stop, and we made a turkey after tea! There’s nothing a 5 year old can do alone but you wouldn’t expect that. One warning - he thought the cardboard binoculars were real and was very disappointed when he couldn’t see distances through them! I had to leave the book with him and am going to buy another to keep at home ready for the school holidays.

Great book, lovely pictures, very doable projects!
A really lovely crafting book, suitable for a wide range of ages. I love that the projects use recycled materials, and it's easy to sub in alternate materials if you don't have exactly what the instructions call for.The photos in the book are really nice and the templates at the back are useful too.

Best book for my 3 year old
My eldest recently turned 3 and we decided to introduce her to arts and crafts. We ordered a few different books, and received some as gifts. With this particular book I was wary as the price was on the higher end of the spectrum but the reviews made us go for it.I'm so glad we went through with it, having looked through the others, the ideas were either too limited, far too advanced or just need materials that you have to get from specialist shops (not even hobby shops or Amazon had some of the items), whereas most activities in this book you'll already have in a basic craft set, or in your recycling bin.In the other books we might have found maybe 5-10 things out of 50 that we felt were actually achievable, with this one it's the other way around. So far there's hardly anything that we don't want to do, and the majority of the activities we'd love to do and will keep us busy in the coming months. The activities have detailed instructions, photos for most stages, templates in the back to trace and cut, and ideas on how to improvise. We've built the butterfly bracelets, paper letters and started the prep for the rainbow caterpillar and look forward to working through the others. If anyone asked for a recommendation for a crafts book for a 3-5 year old, this would be my answer every time. No hesitation.

So fun and a massive hit
I bought this for my 3 year old who is now 4. She LOVED the book immediately and it has had staying power. We've done almost all the crafts in the book. We love the author's Instagram page too though having a hard copy book for my daughter to go through is a huge plus. She can look at it by herself - and believe me, she has spent HOURS looking at all the pictures. I like that the crafts are simple enough that such a young kid can contribute a lot to them without getting frustrated. There's still a lot I need to do - our glue gun gets lots of use - but that's to be expected. My kid is very young obviously, but I think this would have lots of appeal to much older and more capable kids too. Everything is just so stinking cute.
