these green rollers work well. They do not break when I put them in my hair as some others have. These are pretty good quality. These are a little small. Even with me wrapping my med length hair around these the plastic hooks still withstood it. The only thing is I should've bought the bigger ones.

Not exactly like the old ones I remember from my childhood. The foam is not as dense and the plastic is not as sturdy. Some of the outside clips came apart from the inner core. Its easily goes back together, but it's frustrating when your hair is already on the curler.

The ends break off while rolling hair up. Frustrating. I did try a little trick that worked on a few of them! Try reversing the stem, in other words, take the end off and put it on the OTHER end, it’s a little tighter. Good luck dearies.

i have used foam rollers for decades to control frizz on the ends of my hair and to keep it dry during tub soaks. On a few occasions, too tired to remove all of the foam rollers, I slept fairly comfortably in them.

These are not Large. I can't use, too small

This is my third time buying these and they’re worth every penny. The foam is a little denser than other brands meaning they hold shape longer. The diameter is perfect for 40s and 50s roller sets and the color is super cute. If you wear a scarf or bonnet over them they stay in place and hurt less to sleep on. If rolled properly (ends tucked in and rolled perpendicular to the head) the sponge doesn’t slip from the plastic clips. If sections are done right then the hair shouldn’t cause the clips to unclip and the hair shouldn’t get caught in the plastic. It’s a learning curve compared to modern curling wands and hot rollers but it’s worth it for the quality of the set.

Many of the reviewers stated a problem with the plastic rod not closing or staying close. This is very true. Fortunately, I had kept my old Goody foam rollers, so I removed the old foam and put the Annie foam rollers on the old Goody rods. Problem solved! One other thing, I ordered the large foam rollers, but they are more of a medium sized roller. I wish the Goody brand was still available.
