I think I read in another review that this leaf vac is made with “toy quality”. I would second that statement in that it is molded to a minimum thickness and uses a brittle polymer I suspect is most likely polypropylene.Very cheap” is another way to describe the quality of this device. Having said this, it does work quite well after you use zip ties to secure the catch bag. It’s cumbersome to use with the garden hose attached especially at any depth (my pool is 11’ deep which makes this a heavy weight on a long pole). I will also add that it works well to pickup walnuts as well as frogs and leaves.At the price point the functionality is worth it. As for a quality tool, not so much.

This thing worked incredibly well. In about 10 minutes, I had all of the leaves in my pool completely cleared out. This saved me tons of time that I would have spent cleaning out my skimmer basket and backwashing. The only weird thing is that it has no instructions. However, it's super simple, so shouldn't cause you much angst. Just remember to flip the little switch on the drawstring so the bag stays tight.

Overall, I am pleased, and it works as described.However…. Its cheap. The plastic is thin and WILL CRACK at some point. To secure the leaf bag, you have to press a ring into the top of it and it squeezes in to hold everything tight.. with the amount of pressure needed to firmly secure it and lock it in place, it will eventually fail due to the thin brittle plastic it’s made of. Also it has three bristled sections, they end up pushing the leaves forward and not allowing the leaves to actually make it into the dome, I simply popped out the two front brushes and that fixed the problem.I am actually very pleased with it. Mine has no leaks and works like a charm. I was impressed at how great it picked up the leaves. Best part is it works independently from the pump, it uses water pressure from the hose so you don’t clog up your skimmer basket. When it breaks , and it will , I will probably buy another one. I give 4 out of 5 stars, make it beefier and I’d rate 5 all day.

There are no instructions with this and the bag doesn't attach tightly. It works fine with replacement bags.

I am amazed at how well this tool works. Easy to setup and sucks leaves quickly. I did use cable ties to strap the hose to the handle for even easier contol (suggested by another poster). The only thing that could use improvement is the retainer strap for the net... it is a bit difficult to get secure if you have big hands like me. Otherwise, outstanding! Best $25 I spent on pool maintenance equipment (much cheaper than HD for the same model).

This was an awful product. No instructions. The bag won't stay on. The hose connector is awful. Got 3 leaves total. Don't not buy this leaf vacuum.

Do you have a large tree too close to your pool? Do you put off getting all the leaves out until it becomes a nightmare swamp? Then you need this thing. It’s a low tech debris devourer and speeds through leaf pick up. Its downfall? The bag has the tendency to fly off so loop it through the handle and it is kind of a pain to empty the bag without turning off the water. They should definitely sell this with a second bag, just in case.

This product was delivered fast and intact. Only took about 2 minutes to assemble (no tools). One product defect was the white ring collar on top that the bag falls off easily. It is where you use the drawstring on the bag and snug it under that ring. I just used some waterproof adhesive to keep in place and it is fine now. I added a hose gatevalve ($1) on the hose connection of the cleaner. This allows me to pull up and clean the bag without getting sprayed or having to go back and forth to the spigot to turn on/off the hose. This product does a great job of collecting leaves/debris from the bottom whether you can see it or not. Does not clog - just fills up bag.That is a big plus. I did many searches for this product and saw it many times for over twice Wal-Mart's price. Definitely worth the price

We are in a rural setting with many trees and an in ground pool. Removing leaves has become a daily chore that is time consuming and frustrating at the same time. The pool robot wanders around for two hours and still fails to gather all the leaves, consequently the pool always looks a little dirty. I spotted this leaf vac and after reading the reviews decided to give it a try. Wow! Game changer. Ten minutes with this gem and the pool is pristine, love it. You will still need the big cleaner from time to time for the dusty residue,but, lugging the pool cleaner and hose on an almost daily basis is down to twice a week. If you face the daily leaf chore this may be your perfect weapon too - it’s certainly mine.

No instructions for assembly but figured it out. It does NOT come with a pole and the pole required was around $30 to purchase, finding the right sized pole was tricky but once its going in the pool it is a very good item to pick up dead bugs, leaves and pine needles but it does not get the small rocks/sand - however the price was reasonable. It is very good quality and sturdy plastic - the bag that collects the debris is quite large and using some sort of "floaty" keeps the bag upright but that is not required.

Its awesome, works perfectly! So much easier than vacuuming with pool filter/ pump. No water loss.

This item is awesome. Wish I knew about it before hand.I had been cleaning leaves for about a week (tons of trees around. I will be buying a net for the fall FOR SURE).And with the Leaf Bagger it was so MUCH FASTER and picked up a lot more at one time.
