"Lego-king" approved!
My 4 year old, who is a "lego-king" gives it 2 thumbs up. It was challenging, which is our #1 objective, yet fun to put together. Also, we have yet to notice any difference between Kreo and lego. So we will continue to purchase the less expensive option, Kreo. Especially since the kid can put a whole set together within an hour and a half:-)

Jazz, I love you but I wish you were white and black.
First, a brief background on me, to qualify my review: I'm an adult transformers collector who takes all her transformers toys out of their packaging and transforms them. In the case of the Kre-o, assembles them. As a child, my parents refused to purchase action figures or Barbies, but freely bought Legos for Christmases and birthdays. Now on to the toy: In robot mode Jazz is about as big as a regular Deluxe Transformers toy. His car mode fits solidly in my hand and I could probably throw him at somebody and do them an injury. Very solid, his car mode. He looks pretty good, but aesthetically I would have chosen white blocks instead of silver and gray. Especially since the little robot figure in the set IS white. It's white, but the big assembled Jazz isn't? That's just kind of odd. I'm almost tempted to get some other white blocks and put them in place of the silver and gray. The gray is fine, but the silver has some marbleizing. I like the fact that his tires are rubber, but I wish they would actually roll.No mode uses all the blocks. In car mode you're not using most of the ball joint pieces and in robot mode you're not using the wheel arches. I actually was disappointed by this, since I can't put him in one mode or the other and not have loose pieces that I have to store somewhere else when I put him on the shelf to display.I didn't have any problems with the instructions, I thought they were pretty clear and straightforward. The plastic is of pretty good quality and construction. The little people figures though seemed a little cheaper made than their Lego counterparts ... but I do like having the little robots. So cute! Little Kre-o Jazz now lives with his bros Legends Jazz and Reveal the Shield Jazz on the shelf. Now on to the bad: The instructions do not lay flat. It's a minor quibble, but it's a really annoying detail, because I've got my hands full of Jazz parts and Jazz and can't spare a hand to pin the instructions down. I used a book. Still very annoying. They should have just stapled the instructions Lego style instead of binding them booklet style. It LOOKS better bound, but it's less practical. Then there's a red chair in the box ... but it isn't in the instructions AT ALL. I can assume it goes in car mode, but it's not explicitly laid out (which is should be). There is also a random extra sticker that also isn't in the instructions. I have NO IDEA where this sticker is supposed to go. Speaking of stickers? CHEAP, HASBRO, CHEAP. Lego has painted blocks ... Hasbro makes you apply stickers to get detailing on Jazz. APPLY STICKERS. Honestly, Hasbro, it couldn't have cost that much to PAINT A FEW BLOCKS THAT YOU ARE MASS PRODUCING. As an adult, I had a hard time getting these on neat and straight and undamaged ... I can only imagine what children would go through. Not to mention the damage the stickers will suffer from the amount of play children would put any set through. This more than anything really showed the lesser quality of this set of blocks in comparison to it's Lego counterpart.Overall? I liked it. I enjoyed putting it together. I got satisfaction out of putting together a favored Transformers character. But ... but ... there was always those small annoying cheap bits about the set that put me off, like the booklet and the stickers. The stickers most of all. So I give this set a three. One star loss for the stickers. One star loss for the instructions, not only for the inconvenience, but also the extra random parts not mentioned in them.

Doesn't actually transform
While this is a good value, and I gave it a good review, please realize these downsides:1) The car and robot do not transform, you have to completely disassemble one and then start from scratch to create the other.2) I'd guess it takes 15-25 minutes to build either item, and due to the convoluted way it's assembled, you absolutely must use the directions, it is not something that even an experienced Lego builder can put together intuitively. What was really frustrating was my young son would ask me to build the car, then the moment I was finished, he would ask me to take it apart and build the robot. So it might be better for a child who is a bit older, and can do it himself.Positives are, the pieces seem to fit just as well as genuine Lego blocks, and if you don't care about ever building the robot or car again, these are some fun pieces to mix/add to a lego collection.

Oh, Jazz... how far will you fall?
Alright, I purcahsed this from Toys R' Us and it was on sale. Buy two and get one free. How could I resist? Well, I should have resisted harder. Bleh. The design is unpleasing and the pieces are not up to my standard. I purcahsed the small Bumblebee mold before this and I loved it. Heck, It's one of the better Bumblebee toys. This is not very good, plain and simple. His car mode is big and blocky, ugly to display, and his robot mode is... well... big and blocky and ugly to display. There is little to redeem him. His robot mode leaves several car parts unused that simply get in the way and the robot is asthetically unpleasing. Don't buy this for your kid unless he wants to build something else with it.Also, the little creons that came with him. I like the little fellows, but one of the figures was supposed to come with car door wings, and instead came with an extra head. Why? I don't know.

Rough design makes for a low-detail build
This small building set of Autobot Jazz builds quickly whether you go with robot or car mode. The robot mode doesn't really have hands; they look more like mittens. He's fully articulated but a little rough and blocky in design. The car build is simple and comes out quite small yet chunky in shape, not really looking like a sports car/Porsche. Of all the Kre-o Transformers I've handled, Jazz seems to be the most roughly designed and doesn't seem to fit the same aesthetic as the rest.

Plus un objet de collection qu'un jouet
Parfait pour un début de collection avec tous les personnages dispo. Certains ne vont pas aimer le fait de choisir le mode robot ou véhicule.
