Q: Can you remove access for a cat? One of my cats is sick and I need to keep him inside, but still want to let the other out. Door won't reset...

It never read my cats chip. It is possible to make the settings to go outside only, come inside only, or locked. I bought the exact same door without the chip reader and put it in my front door. They function exactly the same way but one is $100 less.

Thank you for your great question. This door cannot program separate settings per cat. The door will always require a microchip (or key for cats who are not chipped) for entry. Then the manual lock controls the whole door. For instance, you can set the door to "In/Out" mode, and any cat can go outside, but only cats with a chip can come back in. Then if you set to to "In Only", only cats with a programmed chip can enter. If you set it to "Out only" any cat, chip or no chip, can go out.

Yes, there is a fob for incompatible chips, or those without. I saw links in the listing.
