I wanted to love this
Man I wanted to love this thing. I keep all my photos on my external hard drive, but I had a few go missing and figured finding all photos would be the way to go.I have been trying to use this for a week. On the phone, if you leave the app, it stops. It does not start again. Because it goes in the charging port, there's no way to charge your phone other than wireless charging. Phone attempts 1-4 = fail. On the computer, the program does run while you use another one. But if your screen goes to sleep, it cancels the transfer. One day I turned off the screen saver and sleep mode, only to find in the morning that my cat unplugged it and it died. Oh and when it dies and you have to start over, it doesn't think the files already on the stick have been copied to it, so you have to delete them from the stick and start from scratch every time. The biggest problem that would really help is that this thing is SO. DAMN. SLOW. I started copying files (not scanning, though that also takes forever it had finished) at 4pm. It is currently 10pm. It's copied a whopping 69.7GB. At this rate it will take another 18 hours to finish. 10GB/hour is a speed I haven't seen in decades.I'll be returning this, it's ridiculous.

Fast, simple and reliable
Unlike several other 1-star reviewers, I found the device very easy to use. Got the 256M size. I downloaded the app, watched the install video, then was easily able to get my old Galaxy Note 8 to recognize the device as I went through the step-by-step installation as described. Once the download started, it ran without a hitch and downloaded over 6000 photos & videos in about 25 minutes! If you want to review photos on the device after download, be a little patient -- it does take a few minutes to "load" the thumbnail index first time. But you can then sort photos in many different ways to organize, sub-file, tag or print.Downloads from Google Photos and Note memory card.It also works on my Galaxy 24.Will buy again if/as needed.

READ THE INSTRUCTIONS AT LEAST TWICE
CONNECTING IS TRICKY. INSTRUCTIONS ASSUME YOU ALREADY KNOW HOW TO DO IT

Don’t even bother
I don’t understand why the Omni photo stick came up every single time I googled best photo stick. So I purchased it because 1) it was super easy. 😂 2) it was fast. 😂 3) it removed all duplicates. 😂. However, NONE of this was true! The app was awful. The online support was a joke. It took me 4 hours to back up 20% of my photos when it stopped backing up because my iPhone battery died. After recharging my phone I started backing up again, I was hoping it would start where it left off due to the fact it doesn’t duplicate any photos. After another 4 or so hours it said backup complete, but when I checked, the last photo on the stick was nowhere near the last photo on my iPhone. I had 12,000 pics on my iPhone but yet there is no way of knowing how many were backed up because none of pictures were in order. They were NOT in the order they were on my iPhone so I have no idea how many are on the sticK and there’s no way of finding out because I couldn’t find any info on that, and to make matters worse, it did not eliminate ANY duplicates, I gave up. I’m sending this back after deleting this stick. I really wanted this to work! 😢
