Newhouse Hardware 16TR Doorbell Transformer, wired 16V/10VA, Assorted

Well it is a transformer and should last for 30 years. It was exact replacement for my 28 year old doorbell transformer.

Easy to install and plenty of power for standard door chime. Doesn't get real hot or make any humming sound. Seems to be well built and ready for the task at hand. One of the best prices I found at the time of purchase.

I used this to power a single Wyze doorbell camera. I actually installed a metal switch box in the wall where the light switch was at the front door. Then mounted this transformer to it on the inside of the wall. Which I moved all of the insulation away from it. I've been in the wall a couple of times to work on the other switches next to it and have not noticed any high heat. Worked perfect for powering the doorbell camera. Would buy again

It is working with my current bell from the same company, but the voltage I measured from transformer was indicating 24v instead of 16v (that is why I will give 4 stars).

Replaced the old one with this and its better than it was before. Great quality and easy to install.

This was exactly what I needed and the price was good. It took a few days to arrive but worth the wait versus paying almost triple for some multi-voltage option (I did not need) from Lowe's.It was easy to install to replace an existing one that went bad after about 40 years. I doubt I will need to replace it in my lifetime, but I would buy again if I needed another especially since it comes from a Small Business and I like to support Small when I can.

When I received the product the box the product itself was in was damaged. This damage doesn't appear to have been related to shipping. Upon removing the device from the packaging, I immediately noticed some signs of corrosion on the contacts themselves and I also noticed that the orientation/markings of the transformer were different than what was presented on the listing.Hoping that the product would still work, I went to install the new transformer and had no voltage getting passed through the device. The input voltage was verified to be correct, however, none of the voltages coming out of the transformer were working, everything was reading 0 volts. Sadly I had to return the product and pay more to purchase a similar style transformer from a Big-Box retailer.The return was effortless and I am unsure if the product sent to me was a return somebody else did with their old transformer or if this is just poor quality control.

Is a door bell transformer. It works and has worked for several years.
