Intelligence Arabic (Essential Middle Eastern Vocabularies)

For professionals interested in intelligently communicating with Arabic speaking people working on national and regional security issues, this book is profoundly useful. The translations are excellent and the author clearly demonstrates her mastery. I sincerely recommend the book. I wish I had this book 15 years ago. This book needs to has a dvd issue with inclusion of selected imagery.

I bought this book as it mentions that it includes 'online interactive audio-visual e-Flashcards', however I can't find them anywhere online. The link in the book for the audio recordings returns 'page not found', but a quick Google search and I was able to find them. The book is simply a list of relevant phrases and the audio recordings are those phrases being read out in English, and then in Arabic. The problem is that the audio files span the length of each chapter and so it's difficult to skip back to hear a phrase repeated, or indeed to jump to a specific phrase. The lack of visual resources is also a problem for me personally as I am very much a visual learner.
