This is EXCELLENT. The price is good (less than $20), the screen is nice and SIMPLE to use.
1.) Less than $20. (although there are cheaper ones, I bought one and returned it ... more on that later).2.) Simple to use and you don't have to go through a bunch of menus if you just want to check for SMOG test readiness. Start your engine, connect it to the ODB-II port, and click the IM button. Instead of scrolling and scrolling, everything on 1 screen. Don't worry, if you like details, this guy has it but you don't have to bother if you dont want to.3.) The typical functionality of reading DTC codes and clearing them is great. Unlike the other one i tried, since I don't have to go there all the time, I'm less likely to accidentally clear them (IM button is all i really need).4.) You can flash upgrade the thing although i think that's pretty much the only way to mess this little guy up. Just pretend it doesn't have that functionality. It's fine, you don't need it. It seems to show itself up as a regular USB drive in Windows. Again, resist temptation to muck around with stuff, it's for finding the fault in your car, just do that.5.) The live data feed monitor from the ECU works a charm. The other one I bought (different model, different company), just did not update. This one is great, even has graphing functionality. So I went for a drive and left it plugged in. Was awesome to see it charted on the ODB-II reader.Super happy with this and absolutely have no problems recommending it to someone else.I'll try and upload some pictures later.

Easily worth more than what I paid
As a professional technician with 25 years in my field I can tell you this tool is worth the money. It has features that are easily accessible that other more expensive tools either don't have or they make you hunt for them.First off the scanner/code reader portion of this tool is very good. Getting to the information is very easy and very quick as well. I was impressed with the number of parameter IDs (things like fuel trims, lamda values, coolant temp, and many others) that the tool came up with on a 2018 Toyota. The refresh rate is good so that the information is accurate and I can even graph values to see how they change while diagnosing a vehicle. I was impressed with the ability to record data and then play it back frame by frame and I can see this being very useful for me in monitoring things like oxygen sensor response and mass air flow grams/second at wide open throttle. Of course the scanner also will read and clear codes and it also has an I/M readiness list to let me know that monitors have been run and passed so when I hand a vehicle back to a customer I know it's fixed and the light won't come back on.The second big reason I was really impressed with this tool was the addition of a battery voltage graph with very good features. The graph is scaled really well and it has a current voltage reading at the top as well as min and max readings to let me see what my lowest point is and the highest. I can't begin to tell you how useful this is and how good it is that they included access to this on the main menu and that they had the graph show all of the important information at the same time. Being able to see battery condition and charging system voltage makes this tool way more valuable that just a code reader. Basically by using the starter to load the system and being able to see resting voltage and then being able to see the charging system voltage I can effectively test multiple systems on a vehicle. I personally have 6 scan tools and none of them have this feature without navigating multiple menus and knowing exactly where to look. The addition of the battery feature makes this tool stand out in a very crowded market. The unit has great ergonomics, the buttons feel solid and the screen is a good size but buy this tool for what it can do. You'll be getting more than you paid for that's for sure.

A Great OBD At A Reasonable Price
Once it arrived, I plugged this OBD into our vehicle to find out why the engine light was on. The KINGBOLEN YA200 OBD2 Scanner fired right up and identified the issue (minor, thank goodness) saving me a big repair bill for work that really wasn't needed. I will keep this OBD around for future events.

Not to hard to use....BUT,
Description stated for 1996 and newer..., well it couldn't read my 1997 Chevy K1500 Silverado. Hooked it up to a couple of newer vehicles (2015 & up) and it worked great. Didn't work on a '98 K1500 Silverado either. Not too painful a toss at $25.

Great Deal
Great value for a few bucks. Basic electronics diagnostic is a breeze, and it works great.
