I ordered this HDMI to VGA so I would be able to hook up my Roku 3 to my older LCD projector and it worked as promised. If you need to pull audio from the HDMI source then this is the model you will need to get.Plug the male HDMI port into a source, if you are going to use this on your PC to connect the monitor then you will not need to connect the audio cable. If you are using this on a DVD, Blu-Ray or streaming device then plug in a 3.5 mm Stereo cable to this converter and then plug the other end into a receiver or any powered speaker system to get your audio.This little convertor gets the job done fast.
