These cookies are delicious. Fresh, crispy, flavorful.Since Amazon didn't have the European cookies I usually buy, I decided to try these. I'm so glad I did.They come loosely put in a tin, but they weren't broken.The variety is good and the taste is not overly sweet.There are quite a few so the cost is reasonable, especially since the quality is so good.I'll be buying these again.

In my opinion,, these were cookies that were not considered high quality by the company that baked them. I believe they were sold as “seconds”.The cookies were covered in crumbs and they were dumped in the tin with none of the usual fluted paper dividers. I tried taking some of the cookies out and dusting off the crumbs and that is when I noticed that there were over cooked marks etc. on all of those that had white on them. Those filled with jam were dry and gummy.You could not pick up a cookie without getting crumbs on your fingers and on your clothing. They were very dry, including the ones with filling.I bought these to serve to guests. In fact I opened the beautiful tin in the presence of a guest and there is where I saw crumbs fall onto her clothing when she bit into the cookie. I put them away to just to eat them by myself but halfway through the tin it was worthless.I wish I could get my money back however this is food, so I doubt that can happen

I always (anymore) check the 1 star and 2 star ratings, before I make a purchase. I thought I would like to send these cookies as a gift, but I read so many bad ratings! What should I do?? I decided to do a test and send them to myself. The delivery was fast and the can was well packaged, I opened the cookies and the cookies are loose in side the white currugated paper lining. I didn't have a problem with that. The cookies all looked unbroken, without dumping the cookies out to check them. There was very little crumbs! The cookies are delicious and there were quite a few filled ones , so far. I enjoy too many with coffee! I will be ordering them as a gift very soon!

Hi I just received today your cookies, and 75 percent are broken and crumbles, I tasted one of the whole ones and delicious, but the way they came broken up , I won't purchase again, not for price I paid, 😞 .

Very nice flavor and texture of cookies. Well worth the price. I'm giving one star less because they're not the BEST cookies I've every tasted. However, they make a very reasonably-priced but good quality gift.

I should have read the reviews! I have bought this brand of cookies before in different packaging. I wasn’t expecting a pile of broken cookies, covered with crumbs. Luckily, I bought this for myself, so I’m the only one disappointed. I’m glad I didn’t send them as a gift. They taste great, so 2 stars.

Mid morning snack with coffee these delicious ( Matilde Vicenza, Selected Assorted Cookies ) really are Fine Cookies. I take them to work with me for mid morning snack.the sturdy tin they come in keep the cookies fresh & whole not broken, ( Okey maybe a few broken ones but still Great ).Everyone” should try these really Good Cookies & and with cold glass of milk too,

I purchased this cookie sampler because it was from Italy. My husband is Italian and we used to visit his family often. Italian products are great, so when I saw this cookie tin, I thought I'd get it for the holidays. I expected this to be like the Danish butter cookies, each variety in it's own paper liner and in two layers - the tin is deep. Instead, the tin is lined in corrugated cardboard (the type for pastries and cookies), but all of the cookies are just thrown in there. When I opened the nice tin, there was a parchment round and then a cardboard round beneath it. I lifted it up and inside was a mess of crumbs and cookies. Every cookie was covered in crumbs. There were some pretty cookies in there, but they didn't look pretty because of the mess. I had to clean it up and I tried to organize the cookies, but in the end, I feel that I wasted my money. The cookies didn't even taste that good. I could have purchased the Danish butter cookies, paid much less and enjoyed them much more. I wouldn't buy these cookies again.
