You definitely need to be able to do the easy ones / like 3 and 2 then you can think about this with 4 squares.

I was expecting a 356m with more pieces but it would seem the world doesn't work like that. This comes with reasonably smooth edges and can corner cut just a little. Center pieces are held in position by two magnets and outer by one. Combine that with a bit of friction in the centre and you have a reasonable and a good cube bound together by whatever magic they make these with.I have read reviews where they popped early on and noticed the middle pieces unsettle a bit in transit, so give them an initial squeeze to avoid plastic confetti.

This is totally awesome, the quality is incredibly perfect! Ideal for the serious game players! This will last a life time, no doubt. In fact it may become a family relic passed down through the generations it's that well made! One thing to bear in mind though - being excellent quality does not make this any easier! Certainly food for the brain!

The rubik is very well built, feels sturdy in the hand and is just slightly bigger than a 3x3 rubik. It has rounded edges, making turning easy. There are magnets embedded in the corners of each outer cube to make sure the rubik snaps into place when turned. There’s even a tool included to adjust the tightness of the rubik, and a felt pouch to store it.
