This is a positive Review for Lunderg Freedom Clamp, an incontinence device. I have been running to the bathroom, every time I was out for an hour or more. This inconvenience clamp has eliminated my need to hurry home, or quickly find a toilet. I no longer have concerns that I will leak. Thank you for the Lunderg Freedom Clamp. It is also very easy to use, and wear.

Best clamp out there!
I wrote a review of this product several months ago, but it seems to have disappeared from the site. I said in that review that I thought this clamp is the best out there (almost a 5 star). I have used almost every clamp on the market for the last 15 years. The best one, up until this point, was the Squeezer Klip. I was one of the first ones to use it. In fact, I helped the original designers (two old guys) make small changes. The problem with that clamp is that it absorbed moisture and has to be cleaned frequently. It was also expensive at $95 and only lasted 3-6 months and you could not change the pads.I bought the original Lunderg clamp and was impressed with the quality (far better than any other on the market). However, it didn't work for me. Because it was not adjustable at both ends the penis slides to the right side almost immediately and then the pads no longer work. I spoke with the Lunderg folks, both via e-mail and on the phone, over a couple of weeks. We had a great dialogue and they were excited about he idea of changing the design. I even offered to test any new design. Unfortunately, after a lot of discussion within their organization, they decided not to make changes at that time. Obviously I was disappointed.I stumbled on the new design and was elated that they had made changes, adding the changeable pads and an adjustment on the right side as well as the one already on the left. The new clamp is of great quality and it is half the price of the Squeezer Klip. It is also easy to clean and you can use it in the swimming pool. I also love that you can buy additional pads for $20. I have shown the clamp to both my GP and my Urologist, both of whom thought it was a good idea (and have suggested it to their patients). As for those who are worried about infections, I have never had one with any of the clamps over the years. I did before the clamps as wearing a wet pad is not healthy. Also I do not sleep with it on since it is good to release every few hours. I don't believe you have to do it every hour as I never have. Sometime I have forgotten that I had it on and worn it to bed and only realize it when I get up to go to the bathroom. There are a couple of suggestions I would make at this time. First, it would be nice if the overall profile was smaller. I was concerned that it would be too large and possibly be visible. That hasn't been a problem, but I would like to see it made smaller if possible. The second thing would be to color the adjustment nub (maybe red tip) on the multiple adjustable side (I use a colored marker but it doesn't last long). It is hard to see which notch it is in. Coloring would let you know you are in the correct one. Finally, I would suggest that they provide the option to purchase just the two pads that work for you instead of all of the pads. They could charge less money (and maybe save money corporate wise) and you wouldn't waste resources making pads that you will never wear. Russ Johnson

Adjustable comfort, Leakage control
Like that it is easy to clean. Like various pad widths including upper V-pad and ultra wide lower pad. It is more comfortable than a Cunningham clamp and easier to install than the Lunderg confidence clamp. It is still large and can become uncomfortable with extended use. Leakage control is about the same as a new Cunningham clamp, but is more durable than a Cunningham clamp.Since writing above review, I am still using the clamp with the ultra wide lower pad 2 months later. I do experience a very small leak with careful installation, about the same as a new Cunningham clamp. Careful installation involves being sure the bottom of the penis is centered on the lower pad and the upper vein of the penis is squarely centered and aligned with the V-groove of the upper pad. A proper installation causes the clamp to lie comfortably across the crotch with the penis untwisted and relaxed. Long term discomfort can be avoided by applying baby powder to the clamp pads each morning when initially installed. This surface coats the rubber or silicon pads so they don’t stick to the skin of the penis. I am sure to drink at least 8 ounces of water a day, many times 1.5 times that amount, to encourage frequent urination and frequent removal and reinstallation of the clamp. I expect the clamp to outlast the normal life of a Cunningham clamp because of the durability of the pads. The clamp itself also seems to be made of break resistant plastic.Had to stop using due to unbearable discomfort after just a couple of hours relative to Cunningham clamp. Also not easy to install leakage free every time.

Better luck next time!
I have been using the traditional Lunderg clamp since 2021, two years after prostate removal surgery left me with permanent urinary incontinence. I started using another brand clamp in 2020 prior to using the Lunderg clamp. When I was purchasing the same model and type, this new design popped up as another option, so I purchased both. There are two distinct problems with this particular clamp, the first one being it is too bulky compared to the traditional Lunderg clamp. The second major problem that I had is I was unable to control the leakage, even exerting the most pressure that the product is supposed to allow. I used it for about 3-hours, but knew that my pad was getting drenched. It's back in the box and I have since used the traditional Lunderg clamp that I am wearing as I type.Once again, I like and use the traditional Lunderg clamp, just ordered a new one when I started using this one. Truth be told, the plastic connector will fail with use over time; therefore, I need a ready backup so that I not caught off guard, so to speak. In conclusion, this new design didn't work for me, but the regular traditional Lunderg clamp does.As an FYI, I'm 73, now 5-years out from my prostate removal surgery. Yearly PSA tests show that the cancer is "undetectable" according to the PSA score. My urologist told me that he prefers not to use the phrase cancer free.
