Fits on my old Dyson perfectly. I’ve got a V7 pet Dyson and it works just as good as the original one.Thought I was having to throw my Dyson away and get a new one because Dyson have never got any spares in stock. So I thought I’d give these I try . Very glad I did. It sucks up just the same and is about the same weight and cheaper than the original ones at Dyson

It worked exactly as described, fitting was easy (just clipped in) and let me regift my Dyson V8 to father in law fully working

Easy fit to enable filter replacement

Head fits our V8 perfectly, only used it a couple of times, so don’t know how long it will last.

This is a replacement rear motor cover for the Dyson V7 and V8 stick vacuum cleaners. It has the attachment points for the HEPA filter and is a direct replacement, allowing you to convert a non-HEPA V7 or V8 to take HEPA filters.The Dyson V7 Motorhead does not have the large blue HEPA filter on the back of the motor like the Animal and Absolute models do. Otherwise, the machines are the same. The Motorhead and similar models have a small rear motor cover containing a piece of foam as an exhaust air diffuser instead of the HEPA filter.Removing the rear cover is quite easy with a flat object like a butter knife. Watch a demo on YouTube first. This new cover clicks on in place of the old one, and the new HEPA filter (available separately) fits onto the back.Changing the cover took me about five minutes, and most of that was finding a suitable tool to remove it. Fitting the new one took about a second. Click. Done. The new cover matches the rest of the vacuum perfectly, and can't be seen with the filter fitted anyway.With the filter in place, the vacuum is noticeably quieter. The improvement in performance is spectacular. Some of that is because the old filters were totally clogged and I replaced the small one as well. Some of it is because it can now flow more air through the bigger filter. It runs cooler too, for the same reasons. In theory the air quality should be better, but that wasn't really my motivation for fitting this cover.A simple and cheap modification that's well worth doing.Thanks for reading this far and I hope you found the review Helpful. AVOID - worked well for 3 months exactly and then just stopped. No option to return, no contact from seller. I really wish Dyson hadn’t stopped making this V7 so that I could have just purchased from them.For £55 i expected it to last longer than 3 months. I only use the cordless 2-3 times a week for a small area.

Initial views very positive - comparable to the original and does what it's supposed to do very well.

Has transformed my v10s performance. Old head joint broke but either the new brush, bearings, motor or just lack of leaks and embedded dog hairs has made it work better than it has for a year.
