Money saver!!!
I bought this as a precaution when I got my â05 4.6. Sure enough, when I started changing the spark plugs, 2 of them had been previously heli-coiled. The inserts came out with the old plugs. I was very nervous the first time I used it until I saw just how easy it is. I used a Milwaukee 3/8â M12 ratchet to turn it. Worked PERFECTLY. Better than new! If you watch a YouTube video or two it is pretty much idiot proof. The tool is self aligned and fits the heads perfectly On a side note, go ahead and get you a bore scope to view I the cylinders to make sure you get as much of the aluminum out as possible. I packed each tool with grease to catch most of the shavings, then vacuumed out with a piece of tubing. Few shots of brake clean and a blast of compressed air and it was ready. 6 months and 8,000 miles later Iâm still happy!!!! Saved me the cost of, time and trouble of a set of heads.

Save the money and buy this kit. it works great!!!!
I normally don't write reviews but I felt that this was one that I should. So if you have any vehicle that has a 5.4 2 valve motor. this kit is a must-have even if you don't think you're going to blow a spark plug out you absolutely will at some point. now you can spend the $200 to $400 on a name brand one of you have money like that or you can do buy this kit.

Ease of use
I had my town car blow a spark plug on way to rolling stones show.I limped to a repair shop and was given an estimate of 900 dollars.I managed to get it to my buddys house and in less than 1 hour he had my car repaired and my car running smoothly again. The alignment tool made sure that both the drill bit and the tap could not allow for the spark plug hole to be incorrectly repaired.A big plus was that the repair insert is the length of the spark plug insuring a permanent fit.For the money and ease of repair with this kit the was well worth money.I also have 7 more inserts for future needs.

Highly recommend if you own 5.4 triton
I have a 2002 f150 5.4 triton. Definitely recommend this for the price it's well worth it! Just make sure you are by a air compressor, I had to make a ton of trips with an air tank. Took a bit but got the job done. Greatly product!!!

Looks like quality product
I used to repair an F150 blown out spark plug. I really can't see how a product costing 3 times as much could have done a better job.Just familiarize yourself by watching a couple of YouTube videos and it is no problem.Everything worked great. The only slight problem I found was the c clip were a little thick to fit in the groove properly. I just hit the outside flat parts wit an angle grinder to make them slightly thinner. That didn't add more than a minute to the job. You just barely have to touch each side. When I was done I was able to screw the new plug in by hand all the way down smoothly and torque it to about 22 ft lbs.

Worked great
Was nervous about tackling something like this, but it was pretty straight forward and went great. I used a HF air ratchet to drill out the hole and then a 3/8 ratchet to tap the new threads. I used grease on both to catch some of the shavings and then sprayed brake cleaner in hole and used 6 - 8" blow gun to get down in hole to shoot out shaving.
