I ordered pheromone traps plus this MAGIC wand at the same time, for good measure.It arrived first and right out of the box: *snap* *crackle* *pop* DEAD MOTHS!No miss, all kill!Ngl, it's kind of disturbingly satisfying. I'm generally a peaceful person and lover of almost all living things but man, I've become an unapologetic pantry moth assassin!!Be aware, since it's *electrocuting* and *burning* them, it is not the best smell. Kind of similar to the smell from the Presto Hot Dogger, that 80's cooking device that electrocuted hot dogs to cook them.I turn on the exhaust fan and turn my head or hold my breath for a few seconds while they're sizzling since I'm pretty sensitive to smoke but it dissipates fairly quickly.I highly recommend this Palone Rechargeable Electric Fly Swatter.Note: the battery and handle do not align perfectly, but that might just be mine. I'm still noting that for those that might be bothered by it.Personally, I would like it better if it were a little smaller. It would be just about perfect if you could adjust the angle of the top part to get the lil bleepers that land on the ceiling easier but for what it is, it works great!PS. Pay attention to your surroundings while using it. Note anything that might have metal* on it and please make sure kids and pets aren't under foot because stumbling and accidentally bopping yourself with this thing, would not be good!*Today I discovered a random staple under the edge of my cabinet that I never noticed before. Thankfully, it was still about an inch away from the edge of the zapper when I saw it so, *phew* disaster narrowly averted!

Literally trapped the fly between the glass and the swatter and the swatter did not zap it. It does nothing. I trapped flies in a dark room with the swatter on and plugged in for an entire night and none of them were attracted to it to zap themselves. And yet when i accidentally grabbed the swatter, I GOT electrocuted. DO NOT BUY THIS.

I just heard that wonderful zap sound and it reminded me to write this review. I keep a clean house but gnats and those little fruit flies find a way in. I don’t have many of them, but I want to have zero. I was unsure about this purchase. My friend had a battery powered one years ago and I remember it being crappy and them reporting it died quickly. Also, these flies are the really tiny ones and I was unsure if their little bodies would even make enough contact to be zapped. Well, it works! I have been using this in the “always on” setting (where it essentially functions like a normal bug zapper). I have been leaving it on my kitchen counter between my sink (at a safe distance) and my fruit bowl- the two things they really like. When one finds its way into the racquet, I hear a pretty loud zap. Sometimes it startles me a little but I always get a little thrill knowing that these pests will not be able to breed and live in my home. Very worth the affordable price tag!I’ve also used it as a racquet, swinging it where I saw a fly, and it’s just as effective this way. Good buy!
