New Harbinger The Untethered Soul: The Journey Beyond Yourself Paperback – 7 November 2007

If you are on a quest to find your true self and God, I recommend this book to you. It'll blow your mind away literally, and if you seriously apply the teachings of this book, your actual spiritual journey will start as soon as you finish the first few chapters. I implemented every single thing that I could comprehend in the first reading and observed the changes within me and the way I dealt with my mind and the outside world, I began to be at ease with life and everything that happened around me, slowly getting detached from the voice inside my head. Relentless (every second of my life) implementation of the principles (along with regular meditation practice) for about 2.5 years led to my Life becoming simpler, as the mind got quieter. I read the book a second time after 2.5 yrs of gap and learnt so much more that I need to implement for my continued spiritual growth.P.S. I gifted this book to someone whom I thought would benefit as she was going through some personal/relationship crises, but that person detested every word of this book. I understand, people who are living their mind find it hard to accept the simple truth laid out in this book. I believe everyone's journey is moving at a different pace and eventually everyone will find their path to Truth one day, and their path may have different means to find the truth. This book is meant for those who are looking for their endless questions about "who am I?" "What's this life about?" "What's my purpose in this life?" "Where is God"?If you wish to find your answers read the other two books too, written by the same author. And books by Swami Ramana Maharshi.

Just amazing book, but not sure, how many people who read it, will be able to absorb its contents.Michael A. Singer , has this quote about "Tao te Ching" in the penultimate chapter "You could easily read Tai te Ching and never understand a word, or you could read it and tears pour from your eyes with every word you read".. This mostly summarizes this book.It needed a Westerner to articulate the Indic concepts as he did, with clarity, depth, completeness and profound understanding. Kudos to the author for writing a book that we may hold close to our hearts.Further in the same chapter, he says "If you want to understand Tao, you must take it very slowly and keep it very simple. Otherwise you may miss it, though it is right in front of you".. This is a sage advise on how to read this book.

Good book on how to face every day life situations, how to overcome emotions and how to let go of that voice in your mind to be peaceful in life. Michael Singer has completely different take on spirituality by asking us to relax and release to enjoy life more. Thank you for this amazing book.

Wow! There’s so much of synthesis of the west and the east in this book. But that’s not the only point. What’s more beautiful is the way he has broken down the problems of the mind and tried to help the reader navigate towards a solution on her own. All the chapters have some or the other takeaway for the one who knows how to seek.

The content and quality of English is very basic. Good stuff for kids in high school but experienced people might find it too basic and unworthy of time
