A nicely made and well-featured projector
Amazon sell hundreds of home projectors covering a very wide price range from under £50 to over £24,000. For casual home use and/or for presentations in a small hall, I have found that there is no need to spend more than £100.This new model, the HY320N, is an upgrade to the HY320 with some additional stand-out features which retails at under my £100 benchmark. It is well-made and boxed, and comes with a remote control and instruction manual. It worked well with my laptop and HDMI input, gives a bright image, and has an onboard speaker. This does give a rather tinny sound which is to be expected from such a small unit. However, there is the option of connecting external speakers via Bluetooth. There are inputs for HDMI and USB and also for a headset. It can also connect with both Android and Apple devicesThe stand-out features mentioned above are the inclusion of the new operating system WhaleOS, which enables the projector to access Netflix, YouTube, Amazon Prime and Disney+. The user first needs to set-up the projector to connect with their home WiFi, which I found very easy to do. One would then need to register with Netflix etc. after which all the films, series, etc. should be accessible. Without an existing membership, individual films etc. can still be watched by making a payment. The remote control has buttons for each of the 4 TV channels. In addition, there is also an in-built Alexa-style voice assistant. This accessed by pressing the voice input button on the remote and giving an instruction, such as changing the screen brightness or sound level. This is a very nice and unexpected feature. The HY320N is a nicely made and presented piece of kit which I found worked well. I have a couple of minor gripes – I would have liked a longer mains lead and a lens cap.Overall, this is an very nice projector with features not usually found on a sub-£100 device.

Brilliant Value For Money!!
Simplest way I can put it…I honestly can’t believe this only cost me a shade over 50 quid! For the price, it is absolutely fantastic, and I’d recommend it to anybody who is on a budget. Very easy to setup, great picture and good built in apps, it does exactly what I need. Only slight hitch is the sound keeps stuttering when I use my Echo Pop on Bluetooth, but tbh that could be the speaker rather than the projector.

Great for family movie nights
Having this in my flat has truly improved the way we experience family film nights. The picture quality is outstanding – the sharpness of the 1080P resolution and those vibrant colours bring everything to life, whether it's animated films for my 3-year-old or action-packed blockbusters for my son. Even in the living room during the day, with the blinds slightly open, the brightness performs much better than I had anticipated.Setting it up is straightforward. Having Netflix and YouTube already integrated is a big plus – there’s no need for extra cables or external streaming sticks; it’s ready to go right away. The voice assistant feature has proven to be handy for quickly finding child-friendly films or adjusting the volume mid-snack.My only concern would be the speakers – they’re adequate but lack the depth I prefer, so I connected it to a Bluetooth speaker, which was incredibly simple. It's absolutely ideal for outdoor film nights in the garden!

Sadly somewhat disappointed
Honestly very disappointed. It’s fine for Netflix & Prime, easy to set up and adjustDoes not deal very well with any ambient light but one set up as long as you only want Netflix or Prime it’s okHowever it crashes incessantly on Disney + and absolutely will not mirror reliablyWhen dark picture is fine, cleared good colours and projects onto my 120” screen nicelyHaven’t used it without a sound bar but the little bits I’ve heard from it when not connected I’d recommend a sound bar, can get them pretty reasonable these daysOverall for the price if the above issues aren’t dealbreakers for you it’s okAs I’m now having to replace it due to the mirroring/+ situation it’s much less of a bargain unfortunately

Decent preloaded projector
Pros- Decent quality- preloaded apps netflix, prime? Disney etc- Decent remote- hardly any latency in bluetooth audio- good wifi ConnectivityCons- abysmal sound don't believe the reviews. Get a bluetooth speaker then it's great- it's so locked down, cannot install apks from browser or even sideload apks- the 'app store' is just some pre allowed apps library which is next to useless. It's not a store. No file loader or file manager apps to get around above point- the settings are extremely locked down, no developer options- WhaleOS is very limited in what you can doI like the projector and will keep it, just frustrating they don't allow you any freedom in what else you can do with it. It's better than most of these cheap small projectors. Perfect if you only use Netflix, Disney, Prime etc and a bonus is it has preloaded IPTV players, so you could watch tv.8/10 for films (get bluetooth)0/10 for anything else
