I purchased the Jio Air Tag on 10th September 2025, hoping for a reliable and affordable alternative to Apple’s AirTag. Unfortunately, the experience has been far from satisfactory.Major Issues:Limited Tracking Accuracy: The tag lacks Ultra-Wideband (UWB) support, which means precision tracking is poor. It often fails to update the location in real-time, especially indoors.Dependency on JioThings App: For Android users, the tag only works if nearby phones also have the JioThings app installed. This severely limits its usefulness in crowded public areas.No IP Rating: The device has no official water or dust resistance, making it risky to use on luggage or pets outdoors.Weak Sound Alerts: The built-in speaker is supposed to help locate items, but the sound is not loud enough in noisy environments.Battery Replacement Hassles: Though it comes with a spare battery, opening the casing to replace it is unnecessarily difficult.Verdict: While the price of ₹1,499 seems attractive, the compromises in performance, reliability, and ecosystem support make this a poor investment. I would not recommend the Jio Air Tag unless major improvements are made.

Absolutely love the JioTag Air for iOS! Setup is super easy and it works great with Apple’s Find My app. The tracking is accurate, and the loud alert sound is a lifesaver. Perfect budget-friendly alternative to AirTag!

It's not worth purchase in this item. 90% of the time it does not track where my keys are I need to be within Bluetooth range with my own phone or I need to manually disconnected and reconnect it for it to show up on the Jiothings app.In addition to the above I had purchase this for INR 1499 and the current price is 999 and it is still not worth purchasing this product. Instead you could wait for the moto tag which might perform better but since it is new you might want to wait for the reviews. In addition to this, the Moto tag is rumoured to be priced around 2100 rupees the reviews around the price could fluctuate based on the market reception.But do not buy the jio tag

The product is good and compact. It is useful to track / find your lost keys if you attach it to your key chain. But only drawback is that in case you want to locate any such item attached to jio air tag, the nearby android phones must also have Jio Things app installed. Same problem with using jio air tag on Apple phones. In order for the air tag to give precise location, it must be near an iPhone or iPad so exact location will be pinged and you will be able to see the latest location
