SalonpasLidocaine 4% Pain Relieving Gel-Patch, 6 Count, for Back, Neck, Shoulder, Knee & Elbow Pain

I have a bad back and with all the cool rainy weather it really acts up so thought I would give these a try,happy to say they are helping my back feel better. I think because they are putting heat into the muscles it’s keeping them from not tightening up as much. I’ll be buying more. I also recommend them to my friend.

These works better, faster than Icy Hot for me. They also stick to my skin better. Imo reach for them first

Salonpas pain relieving pad. Used similar in the past from a pharmacy and did not think much of the product. Tried again and seems to help with my middle back disk issues and associated sciatica. May not work as well for others and suspect if a little more concentarted gel in the pad might be better if safe? I can cut the pad in half for me and still seems to work. Apparently placed where needed. Adhesive works for me but on occasion can cause it to peel off like movement in bed. Usually apply later in the day and remove the next day.

My husband is a frequent golfer and always wears a patch. He wears one the day after golf day too. He loves them.

I was thrilled with these patches, but unfortunately, I developed an itchy allergy to the adhesive. I can only use them on occasion, for 6 hours max. Contrast that to RX Lidoderm CQ (brand & generic), which I wore nearly 24/7 for a decade. I use Lidocaine 4% gel all the time on my back, so it’s not the lidocaine, it’s the adhesive.They do stick so much better than the Rx generic 5% lidocaine patches, though . Salon Pas patches are 4% lidocaine, but if a patch doesn’t stick, you get no benefit, no matter what the strength. I haven’t noticed any difference in results between 4% and 5%, but the difference in skin adherence is huge. I use these horizontally to cover my lumbar discs, L3-S1.Speed of relief: NOTE: It takes 48 hours of continuous wear to achieve steady-state levels of analgesia, so don’t judge before that. With the Rx version, then you can go 12 hours on/12 off after that, while maintaining steady state, but I wear mine 24/7 when I have back pain.Lidocaine patches don’t offer instant relief, they’re better suited for longer term use for chronic pain conditions. For immediate relief, buy a 4% or 5% lidocaine cream or gel, apply a thick layer, wrap the body part in Saran Wrap and wait 90 minutes. Then, remove the wrap, wash/wipe off all the excess, let your skin completely dry for ~15 minutes, then put on your first Salon Pas patch. That’ll give you a big head start on getting to steady state.I’m a former pharmaceutical rep in pain management, that’s why I know about the blood levels, etc., and I have a few tricks up my sleeve. ;)Be sure to follow the instructions for applying, by popping the film apart in the center, sticking that on and then carefully peeling the film one side at the time, to avoid the patch edges sticking to itself (it doesn’t come apart).

This work great well worth the money.
