I was feeding my dog this food for years thinking it was healthy for her, but she recently got diagnosed with heart disease after her vet heard murmurs and sent us to a cardiologist. The cardiologist explained that it was her diet largely contributing to her developing heart disease because it was grain-free.Grain-free is very bad for pets, especially when there is also things like pea protein, sweet potato, and other foods that can't be digested properly without grain. My dog is now on a medication that slows the progression of the disease, then she will be put on a different medication. This is an irreversible life-long condition that will cost $1,000+ per year in cardiology appts and medication, not to mention the lifestyle changes such as no more long walks and travel restrictions and the fact that this disease will eventually progress and kill her.PLEASE DO NOT FEED YOUR PETS GRAIN-FREE

My rescue dog came with as the food he was use to . It's a little expensive for what is in it. I found a better product.
