CoolBag Gen 2 Locking Anti-Theft Travel Tote with Insulated Cooler Compartment

Bought this recently and took it to the beach in Mexico. I loved the bag! The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is the black interior lining. It makes it hard to find things. Overall, the bag is super sturdy and holds a lot. The combination lock only has 3 numbers. I found the numbers stamped on the lock a little hard to read. The 6 and 8 were hard to differentiate. Mostly, the 6 looked a lot like an 8. Overall, it’s a super handy, useful bag. Feels substantial and great quality. I don’t usually spend this much for a beach bag, but I liked the added security and was very pleased with my purchase.

It is heavy already before packing it for a carry-on. The cooler takes up half of the space inside the bag and won't allow it to stand up on its own. You can't take out the cooler so think twice if you want this for traveling. Also, if you return it, they say free returns but then deduct the return shipping charges from your refund.

Amazing all purpose bag!We used this mainly as our beach/pool bag. Large handles and alternate backpack straps make it easy to carry a long distanceI first used it as my carry on (with lap top, and a small purse inside), and it fits fine underneath airplane seat. Love that it zips shut.Lots of great pockets, cooler works well. For beach days we would throw a frozen water bottle and a couple sodas and beers in and they would stay cold..But the BEST part is the Locking feature!We could throw our cell phones and cash inside & lock it to our beach chair, and go play in the pool or the beach without worrying about our stuff....Expensive, but soooo worth it!

This is a great bag. After reading the other review on here I was surprised how LIGHT this bag is. While it is heavy duty it is light weight. Yes, the velcro is VERY strong and makes it a bit awkward trying to get into the cooler section but and I sure with time that will get easier. At first I thought it seemed a bit smaller than what I was looking for but it is VERY roomy. It is a well thought out lay out. I wish they have not done velcro all the way across the tablet pocket, but its not a big deal. The zipper and lock are very high quality and the straps are very comfortable (both sets). I can't wait to use this bag on my next trip!

My first impression is it is so heavy duty it is tgoing to be too awkward. Cannot imagine how heavy it will be once it is full of things. The fabric is very stiff and rough. The Velcro is almost impossible to open. I want to use it on my roller bag but even empty it may be so heavy the bags will topple.Going to test it out tomorrow and will update.UPDATE: It did not topple but it is so much wider than the roller bag it will be impossible to pull the bag through an airplane aisle. The Velcro is too awkward. The handles too awkward. The bottle pockets too tight. The password pocket too tight. The bag looks ridiculous as a back pack. If you take off the straps the fasteners look out of place. I am returning it.It may work ok as a picnic bag but way too overpriced IMO

The exterior color is great. Black interior makes it difficult to see and find things. I used this for a large air flight carryon bag. The slash proof cables & slash resistant sides were the deciding factor. If I wasn’t desperate to use it immediately it probably would be returned due to the black interior. If it was all the waterproof silver interior I’d give it 5 stars.

I really liked the insulated lower portion of the bag, it is great if you travel with refrigerated meds. I also loved the phone holder pouches which kept them easily accessible and eliminated fumbling around looking for them. The bag was easy to secure around anything. The only dislike I had was that it carries a little low and I would scrape the ground with it a lot while walking with it(problem solved I have hubby carry it). I have used this bag several times now and wanted to go back and update it from 4 to 5 stars due to customer service from the manufacturer which was outstanding.

The bag is roomy enough to hold everything I need and I love that it can be locked. My only complaint is that the strap becomes hard to remove and replace after a while (the fabric "tunnel" it passes through doesn't line up right and it takes some effort to get the loop of the strap back in).

The cooler feature for this bag does not work. Although it kept the beverage somewhat cold, it leaked water everywhere from the melting ice

Fantastic product. Took it to the beach and locked it to the umbrella while I was in the water was never tampered with.
