Though it's cheap (included with the item) and convenient, you should run for the hills if it's a flimsy no-name brick with no regional certifications. Whether through premature device failure or fire and high voltage hazards, it's simply not worth the risks.Jameco has a good track record for power supplies - whether ones they design themselves, or quality designs they simply certify, brand, and distribute. Definitely one of only a handful of names that come to mind when I think of quality power supplies with ample protection features and stable output.The best feature is that this one has a earthed/grounded connector for added safety and takes the more common IEC C13 (3-prong computer) lead over the compact C5 you often see on laptop power supplies. It doesn't include one, but anything you have on hand will be suitable with the modest draw of <2A on the AC side. Even "dumb" inductive loads like motors that don't care very much about ripple and noise benefit greatly from the $16 peace of mind that the power supply isn't likely to burst into flames (especially under fault conditions).Bottom line: Just buy it, don't risk your equipment and property to dodgy power adapters!

This is a well made power supply that has some heft to it that your can trust. The Jameco Reliapro power supplies tend to be made that way. If you order a product that includes one of those cheap Chinese "house-burner" power supplies, throw it out and get something decent to replace it with that is safe. This Jameco is decently made and safe.
