this product does what its meant to, and a good price excellent all round

Ok so I saved some money and bought a refurbished unit - it came in the original box ,all split and torn -the unit inside was still in resealed plastic bag -it looked ok ------------on install the fun started no front usb and some of the card readers were not working - and fan control wtf happened to them ---- returned for refund

Item came well packaged and with instructions to install into a 5 1/4 inch hard drive bay. Lot of cables but they are all marked correctly. Installation took about 5 mins. Works just fine, be aware you will need to place the cpu temp probe into the cpu/fan for it to be able to read the correct temperature. On board display is very simple, it indicates temperature and fan speed which is controllable from the front panel itself. (however I have not needed to adjust anything since installation). (but have tested it, it does work)FYI: requires a USB 3 header on the the motherboard for it to work properly. (USB 3 headers are blue on new systems).However the front panel can also be installed in an older system to upgrade your USB 2 to USB 3 if you purchase a USB 3 header pci card. (around 5-10 pounds). (I believe most older pcs have at least one mini pci slot which the extension card fits just fine to provide USB 3 functionality to an older machine using USB 2). You do need to buy this seperately though.Only negative thing, lot of cables to tie up after installation, can make your box a bit messy cable wise.Useful addition to any pc if you do not have a decent front panel and card reader on your machine. Also can provide USB 3 functionality with an additional upgrade card) (sold seperately).

Everthing work it should be bargain

Too outdated for my system to use. Kinda disappointed but none the less. It looked really good and solid. It was down to the power that I had issues. My fans were not compatible with it. 3 Stars only because I couldn't use it. I am sure it would suit its purpose.
