Lace Kings Oval Shoelaces

I have an old pair of Under Armor shoes that they don't make anymore, and I was desperately looking for a new pair of shoelaces that look just like the old ones, but all I could find in my local stores was black and white and other weird colors and also they were all flat laces. Found these gray oval laces on Amazon and upon receiving them not only do they look like my old laces, but they just feel like quality in the hand. I'll probably be buying more for my Brooks.

These laces cost a bit more but I feel they are worth it. They are strong and stay tied .

When did parachute cord become the standard for shoe laces? Why would you need 500 pound test line for shoe laces? I needed shoes laces, the old fashion type, for my athletic shoes. Paracord won’t stay tied unless you double knot. These laces are very well made and come in a lot of different colors and a very affordable.

I like having my athletic shoes fit snugly in all the right places. I use these in my pairs of New Balance Minimus shoes from a few years ago. I lift in them and play outside with my dog in them. I like these laces because they are a little thicker, rounder, and a little “softer” than most laces. What that means to me is that I can tighten each section of the laces on my shoes and it will hold that tightness without easily pulling back through the holes or loops. It also means I can cinch the shoe at the top and tie it without it loosening. And I don’t need to double knot, either.If there are downsides to these, I think they may wear out a little faster than other laces and when you untie them, the shoe doesn’t just loosen up to kick off. You have to bend and reach your feet and loosen them, but that still makes these an easy choice for me.I’m right at 60 now (so it’s not like reaching my feet is easy! :) but in earlier years I would have loved these for soccer cleats, volleyball shoes, or my indoor soccer shoes.

Great looking laces. I got the size recommended for 5 eyelets. Can barely tore the bow. They run small
