Took 3.5 Years to Break
After 3.5 years, the reel mechanism finally gave out. I've worked as a security guard during that entire time, so I'm constantly scanning my badge 5+ days a week. Since then, the clip still looks brand new (minus a few hairline scratches) and the clip still works no problem. Everything I had on the clip weighs 1/8 lb, which is better than any of the company freebie badge reels I've been offered. The reel mechanism is strong, fast and clearly durable. I'd recommend investing in this over the free ones. I'm definitely getting another set after this review.

Sturdy but for the belt clip.
Sturdy, two clip options. Nice card holder, sturdy plastic. However, the clip on for the belt (on back), came out rather quickly and although it slide back in it still came out and got lost. Be helpful if they included a couple of spares. I will add a dab of super glue to my second one. Other than that nice item.

Used and loved for 3 years and counting
I put one on my keychain for my college ID badge and house key. It has been on there for three years now and still strong. I love this thing. The retraction of the cord is sturdy and reliable and doesn't ZIP closed so fast that its scary. Functions exactly how you'd hope and the keychain bit is very sturdy. I love this thing.
