Echelon Smart Connect Bike

User manual is vague, incomplete and fails to mention that you need to purchase the app with on line classes in order to get total control over the resistance mechanism and to get any statistical information. I have been a spin instructor for over 15 years and wanted a quality bike for my home. I don't want or need on line classes for my workouts. Much to my chagrin, I found it impossible to make subtle adjustments to resistance and had to turn the knob several times to get any response at all. This is nothing but a money gauge from the company to get purchasers to pay for on line classes. This negative feature is not disclosed in ads or literature and makes me feel the product is being marketed under somewhat false pretenses. Returning it is a royal pain, but I would NOT buy it again.

This bike is a huge disappointment. For weeks after purchasing the bike they gave me no response to emails asking for estimated delivery times. Then when they finally get the bike I find out that there is virtually nothing you can do with the bike without paying for their subscription...this includes stats. Then I research the app and how it works to find many that pay for subscriptions point out that the app crashing constantly (it crashed for me multiple times in the first hour I had the bike), and they do have many options for live classes. I want to return the bike, but while they stress 30 day money back guarantee, they don't stress that (a) you have to package everything in the original materials and pay for shipping it back to them. Oh, and while they highlight that they use "lightweight materials" I think that must be in comparison to lead because the bike is incredibly heavy.

customer service is abysmal; bike is significantly lower-quality than peloton or keiser (who they're often compared to); app crashes repeatedly; they say you don't need the app to ride the bike - but without the app you can see NO stats - you need to plug the bike into a socket to activate the wheel; wheels resistance crashes as soon as the app crashes; but more than ANYTHING else - customer service is absolutely horrible. had emailed 3 - 4 times with only 1 reply in over 2 weeks. trying to return the bike right now and i've been stonewalled in my reply. so frustrated.

The bike is great. 2 day delivery and it was easy to put together. The app still needs some work but it is getting better.

This bike is great. I love the fact that I can get a great workout at home without driving to the gym. I've been riding for about a week and I can officially say I'm obsessed. I love the way the instructors push me to work harder and encourage performance. I'm finally actually excited to workout everyday and get cant wait until the next one. Great instructors, great music. Very happy with my choice. I saved a lot of money getting this bike vs competitors and I think I made a great choice. Go Echelon!

Awesome Bike! Got it and had it set up pretty quickly, probably around 30 minutes. Setup wasn't hard, and instructions were easy. It only took me a minute to figure out the app and how I signed in, but once I did, easy to use. SO much cheaper than a Peloton! The instructors on the live rides keep me motivated, and really push me to hit my workout goals. The wife is very happy I'm sticking with my workout routine.

As someone who's struggled to carve out time to exercise, I loved the idea of getting some serious exercise in at home without the bore of the treadmill or regular bikes. Within maybe 20 min I was in love. Now, I have a ton of live classes to choose from (including yoga and pilates) in the app, and hundreds of other on-demand classes. I’ll be riding this bike till the cows come home.

We really love this bike and the different ride classes we can do from the comfort of our house! It's hard for us to get out to the gym regularly and were looking for something interactive that we could do at home and also get great workouts. We've only had the Echelon for a few days but are already feel the benefits. It was easy to assemble and isnt noisy which were two things we were a bit nervous about. Looking forward to more rides!
