Excellent & Healthy Sugar Substitute

Excellent Product!!! I've been using Monk Fruit as a white sugar substitute for several years. I was introduced to the fruit through my studies in Traditional Chinese Medicine and purchased it it in China Town NYC as Lo Han Quo in granulated packages & cubes. The Chinese product contained a small amount of granulated sugar which I tolerated through the years. I always wondered why there was no sugarless version. Searching through AMAZON I finally discovered PURISURE MONK FRUIT EXTRACT. The extract is much sweeter in taste so I use less. The measuring spoon provided is a great addition to the packaging. Lastly, my digestive condition tolerates Monk Fruit opposed to Stevia substitute another healthy alternative. I can not & will not use Erythritol & similar brand substitutes.

Monk fruit with no xylitol

This is by far favorite my favorite monk fruit. No xylitol in this monk fruit is an extra bonus for me! This bag will last for a long time & the taste is wonderful.

Fantasic Sugar Replacement

Diabetic, so I've long been trying to cut back on sugar in my coffee. It's been a struggle, but I'm finally down to almost or completely sugar free coffee.Thing is, I enjoy that bit of sweetness, it takes the edge off and can make lesser coffee much more tolerable.I've tried and hated most artificial sweeteners in the past, but in yet another effort to replace it, I decided to try monkfruit. However, everything I found said it generally contains erythritol, which isn't as natural or 'in the raw' as I'd like for something I'm using daily. Thus began my journey of searching out an erythritol free monkfruit sweetener that wouldn't steal my wallet. This is the culmination of that search, and whats more, though it used to not be USDA approved, per reviews, it is now! There is a definite flavor to the sweetener, but no worse than any other sugar alternative I've used. The powder itself is very fine, be careful when first opening and locating the measuring spoon that's inside, you will get slammed if you breath in the dust that WILL puff out. It's crazy sweet.I use a bit less than half of the measuring spoon in an 8-10 oz cup of coffee. Typically at that amount, I barely notice any flavor, just the sweetness, and it's the equivalent of about 1/2-1 tsp of sugar. I believe the bag says one tsp sugar is same as 1/8 tsp of monkfruit (which is what the included spoon is) but I'd say half is closer.Cost is obviously way higher than a bag of sugar so it may be scaring you a bit, but remember at this potency, you're getting hundreds of cups of coffee out of one bag. I've had this for a few months now at least, and I still have an 8 oz ball jar (volume, not weight) of this waiting, and another oz maybe in the other jar. Granted I don't always use it or might not make coffee every night, but I'd say an average of half a spoonful 5 nights a week is about right. The cost will balance itself, I promise you.I don't know how this serves as a replacement in baking or cooking, I have not used it outside of coffee/drinks. As I understand it should work, but with the difference in dry ingredient volume I believe you need to account for that in the amount of liquid added.

Original without eritritol o maltodextrin

I really liked this monk fruit. Unlike others that are usually mixed with different sweeteners, this one is pure and you can tell. It has a distinct orange color and a strong flavor, so you only need a tiny bit to sweeten your drinks. That means it lasts a long time. I mix it with all kinds of beverages and definitely prefer it over other sweeteners.

Tastes just like dried luǒ hán guò.

So my wife makes a drink from dried luǒ hán guò (Monk Fruit). I enjoy the taste so thought I'd try this pure powder without erithritol. To my taste buds it has pretty much the same taste as the actual dried fruit. It is pretty concentrated so should last me a while. I tried it I'm my coffee and found it to be way smoother than my favorite brand of Stevia (Sweet Leaf). It tastes different but still delicious to me. I don't get any aftertaste as other reviews report. It is very powdered so the warnings other posted about not breathing it are something to listen to. I put it in an old Stevia bottle to make access easier than opening a zip bag every day. I'd say 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon makes my giant coffee tumbler very sweet.(I only like very sweet coffee) . I was pleasantly surprised that it tasted so good, hence the review.Note: If you mix it with something cold, I will say it is a bit difficult to get it to dissolve as it tends to clump up but not a really big deal.

Definitely sweet

It only takes a small amount to sweeten whatever your putting this product into. It doesn't dissolve easily. I use it in my cup of hot tea. When adding it in after the water is poured it takes some manipulating to get it to fully dissolve. I've taken to adding it in before I add the hot water and it is fully dissolved after letting my tea steep which works much better. It does have it's own unique flavor that comes thru the flavor of my tea bags and my flavored creamers. I'm not crazy about that slight aftertaste, but I don't hate it either. It's 100% monkfriut and no other sweeteners mixed in. That's hard to find in the stores.

It got the sweetest stevia and used it in my coffee today - UGH - it's horrible, not sweet, doesn't begin to resemble sugar, AND, oh guess what, it can cause exactly the same side effects like bloating, gas, nausea and damage to microbiome, as well as making you eat more. I go on 1000 calorie, low carb diets and wondered why I'm not losing weight, now I know. I also got monk fruit powder and tried it in more coffee. It's not bad, not what I'd call good, like Splenda, but I think I can get used to it, hopefully. I've been using Splenda for at least 2 years and wondered why I was feeling so bad. I did not put it together, until listening to Dr. Gundry, that it was the Splenda making me feel bad....He says to try Allulose but apparently it can have exactly the same affect on your gut as Splenda which I now view as poison.
