Great quality and fit

My daughter has tried dozens of different gloves and she has finally found her favorite with these. The material is great quality and after measuring her hands and determining the correct size, the fit is perfect.

Great fit

My grandson loves them! He likes the option to wear them with or without the finger spines. Great padding also.

OK for the price

The qualities isn’t bad for the cost however, my son has had these before and they really didn’t last the whole season without ripping

GREAT Gloves for the Price!

This is the second pair of these gloves we have bought for my daughter. She ONLY wants to wear the Renegade brand in the box.

My son loves these gloves!

Every GK has a preference for how their gloves are cut (e.g. flat, flare, roll, negative). Parents, if you are supporting a player who is new to the GK role, your first step should probably be to go a store and try out the different finger cut styles. My son's first 2 seasons, gloves were bought based on colors and brands. It wasn't until he played in a pair of "negative cut/negative roll" gloves that he really began to appreciate the cut, and then he really fell in love with and embraced the position because he was more comfortable - ergo more confident. So, our appreciation for the game has matured over the years. Now, here we are with a pair of Renegade gloves that he loves. I bought these gloves for my son at the last minute, in a state of panic after I realized we didn't condition his gloves from the previous season and his first middle school tryout was only days away. I thought we'd buy these gloves as an emergency stop-gap until I can buy him a higher quality glove. As it turns out, this is a high quality glove and he loves them. When I asked for his thoughts about the gloves and about buying something else, he wasn't too keen on using anything different. It seems Renegade has won the loyalty of this GK. As far as credentials: my son plays GK for a travel club team in NCSL (2005, 14U). This year he started playing for his middle school team, which is very competitive in Mid-Penn, class 6A. He trains with two semi-pro trainers. He works hard, and he loves these gloves.Regarding the wear comments - I've found that all gloves will begin to break down if they aren't cleaned regularly and properly. That's the nature of the material - soft and sticky to stop the ball... if dirt or that black turf material gets into the pores, then yes, any glove will turn into slick cardboard and become brittle. That's not unique to any manufacturer of good gloves. My son loves the Renegades and our experience is that these are at least as durable as the $140 gloves, if not, slightly more so.

Great gloves, but...

My teenage daughter uses these gloves for high school and travel soccer. The padding is great and they provide a good grip on the ball. She has used them on artificial turf and grass. The gloves take a beating and usually have to be replaces every three months. She has tried several different brands of gloves but these have been her go to pair for the past three years. My biggest compliant is not with the gloves. It is with the company. It is sometimes difficult to determine when new gloves are going to be needed. Gloves that were perfectly fine one day get ripped the next day. There have been occasions when I needed to quickly replace her Renegade gloves, but when you go to order a set they are out of stock. In January of this year, we ran into this problems. Her gloves ripped during a game and needed to be replaced. I tried to order a new set on the company website and Amazon. I was informed the gloves would be available on March 2020. This is not the first time the gloves have been unavailable.I emailed the company and Tyler Vaughan, a company cofounder, actually responded. In a nutshell he told me that they were able to control how fast the gloves sold out just like any other company like Nike. However, what he didn't explain is why it takes over six weeks to get replacement gloves. It just seems like companies like Nike do a better job at restocking their supply than Renegade. Now I keep a spare pair of new gloves in the house in case she has an issue with the ones she is wearing. I lose out on the warranty but at least my daughter doesn't have to wait two months for Renegade to get supply issue resolved. To sum up..gloves good, but I would plan ahead for replacement because Renegade is not reliable.

Overall 3.5 stars Cushion 5 stars, grip 3 stars, comfort 3 stars, weight 2.5 stars .

For some background: I played soccer very competitively in HS (YEARS ago) and now play in an old-man league. So I know gloves relatively well but I am not a Division 1 Athlete.I had used a friend's Adidas Predator gloves (~$60) in the past, but I needed to buy my own gloves. I had very high hopes for these when they arrived. The first thing I noticed is the gloves were very stiff--they broken in after practice and a game--but they still were not as comfortable as I would have liked. The finger savers hit an odd spot on my hand. Also the gloves are surprisingly heavy.Based on the way these gloves were described I expected the foam/rubber to be significantly 'grippier' than it was. Even washed and wet the ball slipped more than I felt they should for the price point and marketing on these gloves. The cushion felt great though. Even fastballs hit the gloves lightly. If the gloves were a bit lighter and had a better grip these would be 5-star gloves. I just feel like at this price point there are better options out there.
