These Royal Dansk Danish Butter Cookies are just as delicious as I remembered. My son was curious to try the “cookies from the tin that usually holds sewing thread” — and now he’s hooked! He loved the buttery taste and crisp texture, especially the pretzel-shaped ones.The tin brings back so many memories, and the cookies are still top quality: rich flavor, no preservatives, and just the right amount of sweetness. It’s a timeless treat that’s now a hit with the next generation too!

I found these cookies when I was searching Amazon for cookie tins to use when shipping some treats to a friend and was surprised to find a tin filled with cookies for around the same price as an empty tin, took a chance and ordered a few for my care package. The tins arrived in perfect condition except for one thing: they were filled with cookies and I needed empty tins. Solution? Try a few and see what they're like since I really only ordered them for the tins anyway, right?Wrong! I'll tell you what, these cookies are so delicious I'm embarrassed to admit that I've pretty much eaten them all instead of storing all the cookies in zip bags for when I want a sweet treat. Nope, didn't work out that way because I've been gobbling them up like a ravenous cookie monster. Not my best effort in restraint but it is what it is.The cookies are buttery, not overly sweet, light in taste and texture. These aren't chewy cookies by any means, wasn't expecting them to be, but they are perfect as an accompaniment to an afternoon tea or coffee break. All of the cookies have a similar taste with slight variations, some being more vanilla forward, others more crispy or tender, one with coconut (probably my favorite!) One thing I absolutely love about these cookies beside the taste is that all the ingredients are recognizable to me, no PhD in chemistry required!The calories are reasonable if you eat them in moderation (unlike me) with a serving size of 4 cookies totaling 170 calories or around 43 calories each. Another thing I love about them is that they're relatively low in sugar at 9 grams per serving which is less than many breakfast cereals on the shelves. On the down side they are high in saturated fat, 28% of the recommended daily intake according the the nutrition label that I just read, something I wish I knew before I gobbled up so many of them but I'll remember for future reference next time I'm tempted to overindulge.Long story longer: I came for the tin and fell in love with the cookie! If you like butter cookies, you'll probably enjoy these as much as I did.

My husband loves these cookies at Christmas time. This past Christmas we could not find any Royal Dansk brand cookies anywhere. There were other brands but their cookies are not as good. These are much better in quality and flavor. So I took a chance to see if Amazon had them and they did. This tin of cookies became part of his Christmas gifts. I keep the tins once empty for storing sewing notions.

I grew up eating these cookies since I was a child. In the early days, I thought my mom made them. The taste is still the same buttery cookie that anyone would love. Great price and yes they are cheap. No matter how many high end cookies out there (yes they are good too), these inexpensive cookies reign supreme cause they bring me back to my younger days. Love you mom and even though you didn't bake them, I still love you for giving them to me. Love is eternal and may these cookies always taste the same... delicious 👍

I’ve ordered these butter cookies about 9 or 10 times now—which, yes, is a cry for help, but also a compliment. They always arrive in about two days, which is amazing because that gives me just enough time to pretend I won’t devour the whole tin in one sitting. (Spoiler: I do.)The cookies are always fresh, which is a miracle when you’re ordering food online and half-expecting a box of crumbs and sadness. Not here. These little golden bites of joy show up like they just left the bakery, all crisp and buttery and ready to ruin your willpower.Thanks to whoever is behind these magical deliveries. I will definitely be ordering again… probably tomorrow. Or later today. Don’t judge me.

Who doesn't love these Danish butter cookies? And now I don't even have to buy them at the store and lug 'em home! (Not that they're all that heavy!) Plus, you get to keep the tin, which I use for all kinds of things afterwards, like storing more cookies! Win, win!
