XtremepowerUS 1/4" Deluxe Adjustable AC R134a Quick Coupler HVAC Connector Adapter Set

I've only used this set on my hose set once, but they worked great, and they were even easier to use than my previous quick connect adapters. The shutoff valves are a great feature that make it super easy to connect and disconnect the ports.These adapters have two functioning parts in them. The first is the automatic shutoff when they are removed from the high and low side pressure ports, so that you can maintain pressure in your gauge set. The second is the "valve" in the adapter. Although it's not really a valve, in that turning the dial doesn't really shutoff the flow. This is essentially just an actuator that engages the Schrader valve on your pressure ports. When set to the "closed" position, the pin is retracted so that the Schrader valve is not engaged when you are connecting or disconnecting the adapter. But when you rotate the valve to the "open" position, the pin is lowered down into the Schrader valve, which opens the valve and actually connects the two systems. (This is why some people are saying that the valve is labeled wrong. Because it turns in a counter-intuitive direction to open and close it. But it works correctly.)You leave the valves in the closed position while off the car. That way there is no loss of refrigerant/oil as you're attaching to the high and low side ports. Once they're clipped on, you can open the valves to activate the Schrader valves and actually connect the car to the gauge set. Then, when you're done testing, adding refrigerant, etc., you close the valves, which separates the two systems. And then there is virtually no loss of refrigerant when you disconnect the adapters.A very handy set of adapters that makes the job easier and cleaner.

I like the AC R134a adapters. They seem to be made better than a lot of others I looked at and they have a good finish with clearly labeled valves. The arrows seem to point in the wrong direction, but you have to think what they do, ie: open and close your AC system. If you understand how they work, the labels make sense and are a good reminder. I have not needed to use them yet, but I tried them on the valves on one of my cars and they are a good, snug fit. I also like the color-coded caps and the brass adapters for my hoses. Over all, a really nice product at a decent price.

Well made and all connections are tight with no leaks. The "valve" which is actually a retracting schrader valve depressor allows the connection to be made without pressure in the line, also allows the connector to be removed without pressure in the line. On the high side this is very useful. After retracting the depressor, line pressure can be bled off by opening the manifold valve and then the connector can be easily removed.

Nice product easy to use. Quick connect and disconnect nice quality valve closes easy.

Worth the money! Was less than the first one I purchased years ago

These are still expensive Chinese knockoffs ! The will do the job but looks like not for pro's.

After trying 2 other couplers from Amazon that did not work - these do just as they advertise and fit everything properly.Seem well constructed and they have tight seals in the coupler - NO LEAKS!!

These are 1/4" compression fitting to R134a adapters. I needed these to adapt my Testo 570 to a R134a automotive air conditioning system. They work great!! I didn't loose any freon when I removed them from a freshly charged system. Do watch the arrows on the knobs. They turn in the opposite direction that you would expect.
