Compact & Efficient
I was apprehensive about purchasing this because of some low reviews, but so far it works great. Though it's a little smaller than I expected, the slow cooker holds a medium size roast nicely. I even have enough room to add vegetables with a roast. Heats up quicker than my full size crockpot. The compact size takes up very little counter space, and I like that a lot. Easy to clean and comes with a cute carrying case. This is a WINNER!!

LIGHT WEIGHT.... works great!
Works great. My old ceramic crock pot was just too heavy for me to clean and put away. This is light weight, easy to use and easy to clean.

Poor quality and customer service. I will never buy Weatbend again!!
I was very disappointed with this crockpot. The first time I used it the coating in the pot started coming off. After the first use each time I used it a new spot would appear in the bottom. It doesn’t matter what temperature you use it burns everything! The lid won’t fit on the pot tightly. I put it on the pot and the lid pops up. I contacted customer service numerous times and was informed I had to send all this information in an email. I also had to send a video. Every time I called them back to ask them why I hadn’t heard anything they would say they didn’t get the information. I would continue to call and they would give me same runaround. I finally gave up which is what they wanted me to do. The customer service and warranty is non existent! This crockpot was not cheap and should have been of good quality for the money. I will never buy another Westbend product again!!

Very lite and easy to use.
I have used this once and so far I really like it. You do have to be careful on high setting, it started burning my meatballs. Just have to pay attention. But it's nice and light which I needed, a good size.

Multi-Functional and cute but makes an annoying clicking noise
The appliance design is sleek and I love that it has a built in griddle. It doesn’t have clear temps, just a dial that varies between warm, low, and high.I Broke this slow Cooker in with oxtails. I put them in overnight on the temp between warm and low. It works well. I was able to fit almost 4lbs of oxtails, about 6-8 cups of liquid in it comfortably.I was also able to sear the meat in the slow cooker pan on high, due to the griddle giving enough heat and heating up fast.So far, the only negative besides the temperature functionality is that The cooker makes an annoying clicking sound every 1-2 minutes CONSTANTLY. I think it is the heating element clicking on and off to maintain the temperature.

West Bend - My New Favorite for Cookware
I wish I could give West Bend a thousand stars! The size is perfect (5 qt) and looks so sleek it can be left on the counter; using the base for grilled cheese sandwiches is a plus. This was my brand of choice because I had been using my mom's West Bend 4 qt cooker that she purchased in the 1980s and it still works perfectly. I am now shopping on the West Bend website for other appliances.

Has 2 flaws. May have to return
I was replacing my old 4 qt. West Bend because the plastic lid they had years ago broke in half. Couldn't get another lid so bought this since I loved my West Bend cooker. I got it yesterday. Made veggie soup in it today. The temp control is fine. Boils on high and warm setting works too. The 2 flaws I see are that the thermostat makes a clicking noise all the time (not sure how safe that is) and my countertop gets extremely hot. I could deal with the countertop by putting it on a wooden cutting board but the clicking is annoying and I'm concerned about the safety. I will try to contact West Bend about the clicking. UPDATE: I wrote an email to Legacy (they now own West Bend) The model number was the subject of my email. I explained that I had received the cooker yesterday. (The day before my email) I had made vegetable soup in it the day of the email. I explained the clicking noise (sometimes loud) and was concerned about the safety of the appliance. Her was their reply: Thank you for reaching out to us. This is Kim from West Bend Products.I'm sorry to hear that you experienced this, but don't worry I'm here to assist you.To better assist you, I would need the following:-How long have you had the machine?-When was the last time the machine works properly?-Since when the issue happened?-May I have the model number, please?-Is it possible for you to send a video clip of the issue?I look forward to your response. Have a great day!So I wrote back gave dates and where it was bought. Again I explained. The product works but the clicking goes on the whole time it is plugged in. The model number was the subject of the email. That was 3 days ago. No response from them since then. I WAS a loyal customer of West Bend but NO MORE. Still deciding whether or not to send it back. There are features that this cooker has that no other mfg. makes. I love that the vessel is light weight and sits on a base. All the rest of the ones I've seen are designed like a crock pot with the pot inserted into the cooker. The vessels are heavier. I may keep it for that reason. I will not ever leave it on unless I'm within sight of it. I can't leave it on warm because the clicking is so annoying. I just pull the plug and reheat later. The base gets the countertop extremely hot so I put it on a small wooden cutting board. That's not a big deal. Will the clicking ever cause a fire? Time will tell.
