Too good!
The Wurze version is actually so tasty and unique, guys. I'd purchased a large bottle of the Arome version before trying it, because reading reviews here, as well as reading different articles online, that one is largely considered 'the best'. However, the Arome tastes a lot like soy sauce (albeit a 'high-end' or an 'artisan' soy sauce), and it didn't blow my hair back! I immediately had buyer's remorse after spending $25 on the bottle that of course I can't return. 🙄I'd read that the Wurze version has more of a roasted / vegetable flavor, and OMG, it is soooo GOOD! I tasted it from my palm right from the bottle and this is the one I want a big bottle of now.Made baked pork chops tonight without using it as a seasoning because it hadn't arrived in time, but it came in while the chops were still in the oven - I mixed the Wurze with some hot sauce for dipping - super 🔥!Hope this helps confirm that there's definitely a flavor difference between the various types, I'm gonna try the Mexican Jugo version next.

A German Cooking Staple!
I'm so glad this is available on Amazon! A few shakes adds so much flavor and richness to recipes. It's similar to the umami of miso, but with a beefier flavor. I've been trying to make Nuremberg style potato salad, but it was flat and tasteless until I added Maggi. Now it's perfect!

Look for the 'echte' (real) MAGGI seasoning
Make SURE it's the 'Würze' NOT the 'Seasoning'. 'Würze' is the ORIGINAL Swiss/German recipe. It's MORE intense and flavourful than the 'Seasoning' versions.

Exellent "authentic import" Maggi. Will never buy the yellow top again!! Only the red top with no english on labels
I am another who has used the yellow top Maggi for many years. Mainly for soups, etc. Was getting ready to order the tall yellow cap as ad-on for the usual $9.00. Noticed the other Maggi Seasonings with European or German labels. Read the reviews for the red capped Maggi. 1st review was about how the yellow tops are from China and are basically soy sauce. I ordered the smaller red top from FabianB1 with Prime, had it in 2 days! Was totally shocked when I conducted my taste test. First taste was Kikkoman Tamari Soy, salty. Then Winco low sodium soy sauce, not bad for generic soy, low salty taste. Then opened the Maggi yellow top which I have used for many years. Tasted exactly like soy sauce after dumping in a bunch of salt. Threw me back that I never noticed the labeling as Nestle and a product of China. With a name like Maggi, I always thought it was from Europe or somewhere! China?? Soy sauce??? Thanks Nestle!! Finally, I took a small taste of this Maggi Wurze yellow top from Germany. Nothing on the label is in English and is obviously German import! This is the real deal! No soy or salty taste. Takes very little of this juice to add wonderful flavor. I ordered 2 more bottles. Then I found Maggi Arome Saveur Depuuis 1889, red top from France, ordered one of them. Will be interesting to taste test that against this Red Top from Germany to see if there is a difference. Last one ordered is also a red top from Germany Maggi Scharf & Weurze Flasque (Hot). Will arrive direct from Germany. So, after 40+ years, I learned that I have been adding extra salt and soy sauce to my soups by using the Maggi yellow top from China. Now that I have this item, the real deal, the 1/2 tall bottle of yellow top is going down the drain.
