Bin seems to work well IF you intall it correctly
You've probably noticed that people have had lots of problems with this product breaking off at the ends where it connects to the refrigerator door. I've given it five stars thus far because it's doing what it's supposed to be doing and hasn't broken-so far. The original bin broke after several years and I didn't know why. I think I MAY have found the answer. When installing the bin for the first time or after you've removed it to clean it, you need to pay extra attention to making sure that not only the clear plastic clips on the ends of the bin are properly hung over the corresponding molded tabs on the fridge door, but ALSO (and I think this is the critical step) you MUST make sure that the clear plastic clips on the bin are ALSO stuck into a second, much smaller set of white molded tabs on the fridge door. This second set are a little hard to see and, in my opinion, should have been made so they stick out further than they do. Failing to make sure this procedure is done correctly probably puts too much strain on the bin's clips which causes them to fail sooner or later (sooner if heavy items are placed in the bin.Frigidaire has made two mistakes here: they didn't mold the door tabs properly AND they fail to make it clear to consumers how the bins should be installed (e.g. a sticker on the fridge door with a picture of a properly installed bin would have been a great idea).

Normal Wear and Tear
My Frigidaire Model Number FRS6LF7JS0 uses two of this type of bin, both are on the two lower-most door bins. One of our bins broke off, the lower-most door bin after 46 months of solid use. It gave out without warning, but if you look at the plastic it is molded from, one can see that it can crack suddenly if taken to it's threshold. We would place all sorts of condiment jars, juice bottles, 2 liter soda bottles. It held a good amount of weight for it's size, it just gave out. I rate this bin 4 out of 5 stars because they could have made it out of a more rubber-like plastic, something that would not be as fragile or sudden to break under normal wear and tear. I inspected the remaining same-part-number bin above this and found some crazing on one side, where the plastic bin hooks onto the inner door liner. I would expect this other bin to give out soon as well. NOTE: The FRIGIDAIRE REFRIGERATOR DOOR BIN P/N 240323002 goes on the two lower-most door shelf spaces on my model FRS6LF7JS0. The actual P/N that you will find on the part is 240323000, but for some reason, the catalogue will list the part as 240323002. It is the correct part for this fridge!

... its a plastic bin.... it works.
I'm looking at the reviews and I'm a little surprised. Its a PLASTIC BIN!!!!.We bought this last year to replace a plastic bin that broke on our mothers frigidaire refrigator. We came this year.. its still there. Will this eventually break? Sure. EVERY plastic bin will eventually break. If you want to go spend twice the price getting the Frigidaire certified door bin, be my guest, but I can promise you this..ITS STILL A PLASTIC BIN.If its broken when it arrives, send it back. If it ain't, rejoice, put in on and stop loading it with 15 gallons of soda.

Awful. Will not stay on door. Will not fit properly
For the price it is awful. It will not stay on the door. We can not put but one item on the shelf or it falls off. I am so disappointed. Bought 2 other shelves at the same time smaller ones thst fit perfect and no problem. I think this one shelf was around 60 dollars WASTED.

Price was right, prompt delivery, recommend this provider.
I went to Home Depot, the dealer of my five-year old refrigerator, to look into a replacement for a broken door bin. Employee pleasantly gave me a business card to look-up replacement parts for Home Depot provided products. (I really enjoy dealing with HD employees, they are always most helpful.) I looked up and easily found the replacement item I needed, $40. That seemed a little high for a basic 4"x16" plastic bin. Used the helpful information from the HD website to see if Amazon might offer the same item a little more affordable. Purchased my replacement bin from Amazon for $13, and received it promptly a few days later.

Does not fit correctly!!
I purchased this replacement shelf for a Frigidaire Gallery series refrigerator after checking to make sure it was compatible with my model. The listing indicated that it was. Upon receiving the product, installation was problematic. The tabs that fit into the door grooves do not match exactly, and I had to apply a little force to each side to even get them to go in. After getting them secured into the grooves, they did not slide down all the way, so the shelf does not hang correctly. I think forcing the tabs all the way down would have cracked them (as other reviewers have indicated) because the slots they are supposed to fit onto are slightly wider than the space between the shelf and the tabs. Sooo... my shelf went about halfway down. It looks fine, but if I put anything in it other than very light weight items in plastic bottles, it clearly will crack due to excessive pressure on the tabs. The bottom line for me is that if the manufacturer says the product will fit, it SHOULD FIT!Postal service being what it is, I'm surprised it didn't arrive broken. The item was poorly packed...no packing materials whatsoever, just in a plastic bag, loose in the box.My hopes are somewhat higher than my expectations. We'll see...
