Only the largest people would need the large size.
We ordered this for our disabled daughter who is in a wheelchair in a nursing home. Even though she is quite heavy, I should have probably ordered the medium size for her or a different design. The wheelchair is quite large and even with its large size, the item is a little bit loose on her. It will work because she is reclined most of the time at a certain angle when she is in her chair and she doesn't have the ability to move around much. The quality of the product is top notch and the directions were very easy to use.

Easy to add
Great straps. Our daughter needs a harness on her wheelchair to keep her from falling forward and it can get really dirty after awhile. We wondered if we could just change the harness out instead of having to have an apt with the wheelchair company and this worked perfectly and saved a lot of hassle being able to do it ourselves

GREAT ITEM THANKS!
This is an AWESOME support for my Mom. I had purchased a different brand with velcro which never worked as good not even from the beginning, too bad I had not come across this one! This is a breeze to put on as it is screwed on the wheelchair. Thanks for making it affordable as others have the same concept for much more! Don’t hesitate it’s a great item!

WORKS GREAT
Purchased this with some hesitation since my wife has Parkinson's and she slumps from side to side on the wheelchair. Tried another brand and it didnt do the job of keeping her upright. Thought I would try this one with the idea if it didn't work I would be able to easily return it with Amazon. To my surprise the harness/brace worked perfectly and holds her in place with comfort. Was simple to install and very easy to get on and off.Sam B

NOT RETURNABLE!
I purchased this harness as a backup harness for my special needs daughter. My daughter has stomach issues and gets sick a lot. I wanted to use this harness as a backup for when the first harness becomes soiled and needs to be washed. The clips on this harness do not match the clips on the chair making this harness unusable. You would think that the clips are universal but it appears that they are not. No where on their sale page does it say the size of the clip. I should mention that it comes with new connecting straps but honestly who has time for that when the school bus is in the driveway. I need a fast swap and anyone who has a wheelchair knows that nothing is quick when it comes to replacing parts. I'm disappointed that they wont take this back. I get the whole medical returns thing especially after covid but this wasn't even used. $55 dollars down the drain.

Poor quality buckles and difficult to install.
I'm returning mine because all 4 quick-release plastic buckles (like on a fanny pack)--were misshaped--2 don't latch at all! One defect in manufacturing can happen, but 4 defects in one unit means to me that there is little or no quality control. I am not exchanging because I don't trust the replacement would have defect-free buckles. Also, in my experience, fanny-pack style buckles break easily unless the plastic in really thick, and these are not. The strap itself is nicety padded and neatly stitched. The metal anchors and hardware are good quality. In addition, the harness is very difficult to install. Maybe any harness would be this difficult, but, before you decide not to buy from a local DME vendor who will install it for you, consider that you will need two or three hours from someone good with tools. A chest strap is much easier to install, and if you are simply trying to stop falling forward, it should meet your needs. One of my care assistants is a mechanical type who's worked in an auto shop and commercial contracting., The installation was going to be a fairly challenging, even for him. A lot of hardware comes with the harness, but the instructions call for you to procure additional hardware on your own. Also, depending on how the harness fits the user, holes may have to be drilled into the backrest to anchor the shoulder straps.
