Does a Great Job as an in-between and Daily Use
This vac is pretty awesome. It is lighter than I expected. Some said that it was heavy at the top, which is because the battery is mounted there. Instead of trying to hold it up, I let it rest on my hand and move it around. The vac does a great job on hard floors, as it has two types of rollers - one is with the "blades" and the other is a microfiber material, which means it not only picks up debris, it also sweeps and cleans the dust that has settled on the floor. It also will pick up when moving forward and reverse. Some cordless vacs only pick up when moving forward. It passes the Cheerios test, and picks up crunchy cat food on the floor with ease. This vac has 3 settings - high and low, and then the Clean Sense, which allows the vac to determine which speed and power is needed. On hard floors, I let the Clean Sense do its job and by doing so, the battery lasts longer. I also will start with the auto feature in the rooms with carpet, but sometimes I will notch it up to "high" to get a little deeper into the carpet. Initially, I was concerned that the battery would not last throughout the house, but it does for the most part. Once I have run through the house, I dump the collection bin, fold up the vac for storage and then I plug in the battery charger to top it back off. I never put it up without charging it fully again. After it fully recharges, I unplug the charger from the vac. The folding feature of the vac is a great way to store the vac, though I worry about the plastic tubing being bent up 180 degrees. Based on some reviews about the folding feature breaking something in that area, I am very careful when folding it up. It also is still confusing which button I press to fold up versus opening the bin to dump out the contents. So far, I have not accidentally dumped the container by pushing the wrong button. I'm still learning a month into it.I like the odor neutralizer, as it leaves behind a pleasant smell. I am very sensitive to fragrances and the little cartridge that comes with the vac smells really good. My house has a fresh smell after vacuuming. You can dial in the amount of fragrance to be released, and I have it on low. It will also last longer the lower the setting used. I also note that there are replacement cartridges from other sellers for this vac, so I will not worry about using this one up without replacing it.This does not replace my Rainbow vacuum, but it sure is a heck of an easier way to keep the floors tidy. I also have the robot vac by the same manufacturer and sadly it is not getting used as much now that I have this cordless stick. With this stick, I can spontaneously decide to clean up the floors, but the robot requires me to go all around the house picking up everything small enough to get the robot stuck. I also have a handheld cordless vac by another company and I occasionally use it instead of the hand vac on this vac. This vac comes with two attachments - one for dusting and one is a crevice tool. I so far I have not utilized either one, but the dusting tool has microfiber all around it, so I am excited to try dusting next. So, overall I am pleased with this purchase. I will need to use this over time to report back on the durability and quality of the build to fully conclude the value. If this vac dies on me, you can be sure I will immediately revise my rating, since this was a luxury purchase for me and I expect it to hold up. But, for now this is a welcome addition to my home.

This vacuum is extraordinary!
This vacuum is extraordinary! I've always been a strong supporter of the Shark brand. They make great quality products that perform that products task and making that task fun to do. This vacuum is a prime example of that! I also like how Shark vacuums don't come with 8 or 10 separate parts that can be easily lost. My only issue with this vacuum is that it's quite hard to small rugs and/or bath mats without the vacuum trying swallow and eat the rug. That's an issue with most Shark vacuums, actually. But it's also because of the suction power being so powerful. When using a Shark vacuum you have be thoughtful about any loose wires and/or charging cords and cables, as well as small rugs and bath mats.

I'm in love!
UPDATE 04/26/2025:I'm changing my initial review from 5 to 4 stars. It's been a couple of years now and I continue to use this vacuum on a daily basis. The battery continues to work great and the suction is still good. I periodically clean the dirt canister as well as the rolling brush. While the canister is fairly easy to clean, the rolling brush is a huge pain. You can't remove the rolling brush to properly clean the cover around it, which leads to dirt/debris buildup. I've tried several different long, skinny cleaning tools to get all the dirt but it's seriously impossible to get it all. And if you use any type of cleaner or water while trying to clean the cover you not only get dirt buildup but mud as well. A vacuum at this price should not have this problem.ORIGINAL REVIEW:I've never spent over $300 on a vaccum before, the most I've ever spent was just over $100. After my dirt devil stopped working recently I decided it was time to invest in a worthwhile vacuum that wouldn't stop working in six months time. I've never owned a Shark product before but have consistently heard positive things about their products over the years. Most of the online reviews were positive and this particular model has all the features that I was looking for.I really do encourage everyone to read through the instruction guide/product manual prior to using the vacuum for the first time. It's important to know the proper way to clean and use each part of the vacuum. Proper maintenance can make all the difference in extending the life of the vacuum. The vacuum was a breeze to put together. Each piece easily locks into place without having to push hard. It was pretty straightforward for me but the included manual does an excellent job of showing how to connect all the parts. It came with two smaller extension pieces which are both extremely easy to place on and remove. I'm not a huge fan of the brush extension piece. I used it on my couch cushions to vacuum up small crumbs and debris but the suction on the brush extension is so weak that it barely picked up any of it. I do want to point out that this is ONLY the suction when you're using the brush extension. The suction on the main vacuum parts is AMAZING.I live in a tiny, two bedroom apartment that has high traffic. The amount of dirt and debris brought inside from our unpaved, dirt driveway is disgusting....so much so that I'm often vacuuming 2-5 times daily. The bedrooms are both carpeted but there's also hardwood and linolium like flooring. I am so impressed with the way this vacuum gets all the dirt and dust off my kitchen floor (as well as my entrymat.) I'm EVEN MORE impressed with the way this vacuum cleans my low carpeting. I keep my apartment pretty tidy and was using my old dirt devil to vacuum the two carpeted rooms on a daily basis, so I didn't expect much when I first tried this out on the carpet in my small bedroom. The amount of dust and dirt that this got out was enough to fill the debris cannister (not packed full.) Since then I've vacuumed over the entire carpet in my room 2-3 times, each time with the same result. It's GROSS how much my old vacuum left behind. You can't visibley see the dust and dirt on the carpeting so it was quite a shock.Emptying the debris cannister is super easy, though you do have to detach the top, handheld portion of the vacuum in order to do it. I love how it literally pops open with the push of a button. I read in other reviews how some people have had issues with their debris cannister opening unexpectedly or not being able to detach it properly when it comes time to rinse it out, but nothing like that has ever happened to me.The battery life has been great. Fully charged I can vacuum my entire apartment (kitchen, livingroom and two bedrooms) and still have some battery power leftover. It comes with a charging cord which easily plugs into the top of the vacuum or there's also the option of removing the battery from the vacuum entirely and just plugging the battery into the cord. In order to stand upright without falling over you have to sort of fold the vacuum in half, which may sound like it's a hassle (it was a concern of mine prior to purchasing) but it's actually really simple.Straight out of the box the vacuum comes labeled with small stickers (easily removed without leaving any residue) that easily explain the function of each button or gadget. This was extremely helpful for me in the first couple of days when I was still learning how to manuever and operate the vacuum. Once I got the hang of things I just peeled the stickers off but you could leave them on if you choose.I've owned this vacuum for less than a month so I'll have to wait and see how it holds up in the future. Will update review as needed, but from what I've seen so far I don't believe I have much to worry about.UPDATE - JULY 2023:I've been using this vacuum daily since purchasing it in February and I'm still just as impressed as I was in the beginning. Cleaning it has been so easy. The only thing that bothers me in regards to cleaning it is you're unable to detach the rolling brush to clean it properly. You're still able to wipe it off but since it doesn't come out it makes it impossible to clean the plastic cover which gets caked with dirt. After 5 months of regular use the suction is still as powerful as it was on day one. The lights on the bottom are helpful for seeing dust and debris that I would have otherwise missed. This vacuum is incredible!

Good product
Bought this for a small lake cabin with laminate flooring and a few area rugs. Works great and uses little space for storage. Charges rapidly, battery life is surprisingly good. The only thing I’ve noticed is that the vacuum roller head picks up more sand on the forward pass than on backward on laminate flooring, but that’s not really a big deal. Nice quality. Happy with product.
