I’ve tried countless hair dyes over the years, but Madison Reed’s 5NNN shade is hands-down the best at-home color I’ve ever used. I have naturally dark brown hair with a fair amount of stubborn gray, and I wanted a deep, neutral tone with full coverage — this delivered perfectly.The application process was smooth and user-friendly, with clear instructions and thoughtful extras like gloves, barrier cream, and a cleansing wipe. What really stood out was the lack of harsh chemical smell — no eye-watering ammonia here!Shade 5NNN gave me a rich, even, darkest neutral brown tone that didn’t skew red or ashy — just a pure, deep brunette. It covered every gray strand completely and left my hair looking dimensional, not flat or “boxy.” Even better, my hair felt softer and healthier afterward than it did before coloring

I normally use Naturtint to color my hair but before a recent vacation I didn’t feel like doing the full head so I tried this root touch up. I am so impressed at the results that I’ve decided to try their normal dye next time I want a full coloring. With Natirtint the color would start to fade and hair start to look duller after a couple of weeks. This touch up continues to make my hair look shiny and with good color saturation.

This product is absolutely amazing. I did a lot of research first before purchasing it as I have never colored my own roots...It was simple to use...It has really noooooo smell like what we experience at the salon...It came with everything it said it would and a BONUS conditioner that was so nice and felt like I just walked out of the salon...I will definitely repurchase again instead of going to the salon every month for $120...The only thing I will try next time is to leave it on and apply it thicker next time....But I was nervous....Still turned out absolutely incredible....

Easy to use, color ended up darker than I expected

Great gray coverage and lasts about 5 weeks. This box is nice because you get 2. This brand doesn't use harsh chemicals or smells so I feel better using this.

Product had only one activator packet.Advertised as 2 uses but came with one packet of activator short all other items were as advertised but product cannot be used without activator .I finallly opened my package yesterday to use and discovered this.Like the product but feel cheated.Would like to return it or get a refund or a new package instead .

I have been using Madison Reed for a couple of years and will not be changing. The color sty’s quite well and is not harsh on my hair.

I don’t use this to do my roots I’d use it to do my whole head but unfortunately I can’t find their product to do a whole head so I buy this and have to use both of them to do my head my hair is thin and all white but it covers very well you’ve never know it was white And it’s good for your hair
