I left over night and finding it so hard to get off the black floor tiles has anyone got any advice to make it easier would be most grateful
Is the consistency runny or thick when applying?
is the tube sealed inside the lid, before first time use ?
I see from the reviews a lot of people using on floor tiles. How long does it last and when can I steam clean floors soon after?

Amazing product, it actually worked so well

Wow, didn’t think this product would work as well as it did. Easy to use and apply. Dries quickly and easy to clean off the excess. Coverage is fab and tiles/grout now look brand new. Transformed the kitchen. Certainly recommend.

Great product, easy to use

I am not an experienced DIY person, but I find this product quite good quality and easy to use. I didn’t use the sponge that come with the tube but instead using my finger (please don’t laugh at my stupid method) to spread seems easier for me to have a smoother apply. It’s easy to spread and didn’t dry too quickly so I could wipe out the excess easily. Once it’s dry, it’s seems to be quite solid so I can say it has a great performance. It’s a solid white and covered the yellow old grout efficiently so it turned my bathroom like brand new. It’s quite a large tube for me to redo my bathroom wall partially.

Great product but not simple, easy or quick!

As the title suggests, this product work well and has given a great finish but it's not a quick fix.The reality is that you are re-grouting or at least adding another layer rather than reviving the existing grout.Pro's:Great finish.Easy to apply.Great value for moneyBrilliant white colour.Covers up all of your old mistakes!Con's:The sponge applicator comes off very quickly.Messy and time consuming to clean up.Definitely not quick.Don't get me wrong, it was definitely worth the money and I would buy it again but it took me just over 8 hours to do my bathroom, which is completely tiled and gives a much better finish than one of those grout pens.Tips:Clean the existing grout and tiles thoroughly before you start.Use your finger to apply but use gloves.Do not use a grout spreader or sponge as this will spread the stuff over more of the tile.Wait at least 2 hours before trying to clean off the residue.Use a very damp cloth to clean off the residue. An old face flannel seemed to work best for me but keep rinsing it as you will need plenty of moisture to remove some of the more stubborn bits of residue.

Easy, effective, cheap way to spruce up the kitchen tiles

For £5.65, I can't fault the results this product gave.Application technique: I cleaned the tiles with Flash bleach spray let that dry off. The product comes with a foam applicator on the tube but i found it very hard to squeeze out through this so- applied on grout lines with finger (using marigold gloves)- used the foam applicator on its own detached from the tube to work the product into the grout lines- wiped off excess from tiles as i went. Instructions do say to leave it til later but I preferred this way. Results were instant and looked even brighter the next morning.

Four bathrooms and a lot of thoughts.

Over the holidays, I was like an unstoppable force. Determined to not be ashamed of our bathroom floors another day, I set out to revive the tile grouting.Bathroom #1: the most disgusting of the lot. As everyone and their mother had mentioned here, the sponge applicator is a joke. It lasted about five minutes and then fell right off. I decided to tackle it with a toothbrush, and considering how tiny the the tiles are, I just went gangbusters and rubbed it all over. I let it all dry, and then came back with a sponge and a bucket of warm water. It required patience to clean off the tiles, and occasionally it would rip off the spots in the grouting I didn’t want off, but it wasn’t so bad. I mean, anything was an improvement here. Required some touch ups, took a little patience, but I was happy. So I decided to move on into the shower wall tile. This is where I found myself losing the will to live. Getting the grout off that tile was HARD. Really had to put muscle into it this seemingly endless task, and several touch ups due to going back and forth between too much overlap, and too much wiped off. I needed a couple of days after that.Bathroom #2: perhaps my proudest of the lot. I was more conscientious this time, cleaning the tiles as best I could, as I went. But it didn’t save me much time in the end, and the effort, while different, was no less. It was probably more annoying. I used cotton swabs to wipe the edges, but it’s an imperfect system. In the end, it looked great, touch ups were relatively minor.Bathroom #3: different house, larger tile. Considering I had less grouting territory, this was surprisingly tricky. I went back and forth constantly between not enough on and too much overlapping the tiles. Every time I’d try to correct it, it was back to square one. Took a few gos for sure. What really didn’t help was that this was a new tube now (first two bathrooms used a full tube, which I feel is generously filled), but WAY dryer paste than the first. Idk if it was older stock, but I could only dispense a small dab at a time because it quickly hardened and became crumbly. Not loving the inconsistent quality. On this tile I used artist paint brushes, hoping to get in more precisely. It dried up and built up quickly, which made the brushes quickly unusable.Bathroom #4: tried sectioning the area with masking tape, hoping to minimise overlapping. Frankly, it seems to me that no matter what method you use, it’s a time consuming task. You trade one job for another - just depends which job makes you least crazy. This technique worked well but still needed touching up. If your alignment on that tape isn’t perfect, expect to do it over. In the end, still happy with the result, although I think the lesser quality and dryness of this tube made it not as great looking as it could have.I still have more tiles to go in bathroom #3, but I think I’m going to switch over to a grout pen and see if this works out better for me. Overall, I’m pleased - the bathrooms look much better, but I’m deducting 2 stars because the sponge is useless (hear the feedback, reviver!!) and the quality control is inconsistent. Had the second tube not been drastically different, I might’ve overlooked the sponge matter and gone for 5 stars.Long story short, yeah - this works, but if patience isn’t your virtue, you might want to seek out a more novice-friendly option.

easy to use, works great

this completely refreshed my 20 year old apartment bathroom! i just used a wire brush to buff out the top layer of old grout, wiped this between the tiles with my finger (use gloves!) and wiped away the excess once dry with a sponge. so easy, i’ve tried all grout cleaning products but this is the quickest and most cost effective way to refresh your grout. big thanks to whoever recommended this on tiktok!

Brilliant stuff

This stuff is brilliant and far superior to grout pens. This doesn’t have to be that labour intensive if you ignore the instructions! I remove the whole lid and squirt it out like toothpaste - approximately a small mound the size of a ten pence piece. Using a small artists paintbrush, I literally slap it on and brush backwards and forwards until the old grout is covered. Do as much as you can for no more than five minutes or it dries too much. Then take a wet but wrung out micro-fibre cloth and wipe over the area you’ve painted. Keep the cloth flat and it will take off all the overspill on the tiles but leaves the grout intact. This is so much easier than the effort involved in cleaning it off when dry. It will transform your tiling for a small amount of effort.
