Great little WLED controller
I grabbed 2 as quick, easy controllers to illuminate some Minecraft beacons that I 3D printed. I'm getting my kids into tinkering and this was much easier than having to walk them through compiling and flashing WLED on an ESP32 and having solder stuff...I picked up a few of the USB-A to 5.5x2.5mm cables to power everything. I used compatible 5v LED strip so we didn't have to futz with any other electronics. Everything was plug and play! Each of their beacons had 142 LEDs, and even just a 1 amp power brick was enough to light the strips to full brightness in any color, including white. The only thing I've really noticed is the WLED GUI on the board probably needs an update-the settings page will scroll down, but not back up. It may allow OTA flashing, but I'll research it later. My boys both love the fact they can control their own lamps however they want from their tablets. I've actually already bought another controller for embedded LED lighting in a desk I'm building for my home office.I plan on purchasing a few more of these, and eventually graduating to some other ESP32 controllers to run exterior holiday lighting with the help of my kids.

Easy to setup with good features
I need to start this review with a confession. I blew up this controller when I first set up it. Or, more accurately, I thought I did. I have several power supplies (5V and 12V). They look alike and have the same connectors. So, I plugged in my 12V supply, thinking it was 5V, and melted a stripe of 5V lights. I took everything apart and got the correct power supply, but the controller was dead as a doornail. Or so I thought. After looking more closely, I noticed the two fuses and checked them. Sure enough, the mini-blade fuse was blown. I was back up and running after a short trip to Napa auto parts for mini-blade fuses. This board has several features that a lot of ESP32 DIYers don't bother with:1) Fuses - important with wanna-be hackers like myself.2) Relay - a relay turns off power to the strips when WLED turns off. That's an excellent feature,Yes, this is more than a full DIY solution. But it works just like you'd expect a WLED ESP32 without doing any wiring yourself. Just plug in a power supply and lights, and you are going. There are a few minor issues with the board: 1) the silkscreen labeling of +/- on the output connector looks reversed. 2) it's 5V only (though there are ways around that without blowing fuses). 3) I'd like to mount it in a project box, but there really aren't good mounting screw holes,Still, it's a well-thought-out board and worth the price.

Well made, great price, thoughtful design
There are six of these in my house and they have performed flawlessly. The setup is:- Controller: Wi-Fi Smart LED Controller (with internal antenna)- Lights: SEZO LED Matrix WS2812B Panel RGB 5050SMD 8x32 256 Pixel- Power: JOVNO 5V Power Supply 5A 25W AC/DC Adapter LED Driver 100-240V AC to DC 5 Volt 5ampOn the software side, I am using OpenHAB with their WLED integration to control the lights. I also control the lights using the WLED web portal and sync feature. With this setup the lights are bright and responsive.I really like the following about the design:- Built in double fuse system- Cable stress reduction PCB design- Focus on solder free connectors- Test LEDI had worried about the WiFi internal antenna because I have these installed in a metal junction boxes with thick acrylic covers; but, there has been no problems controlling and connecting to the lights. In terms of improvements, I wish you could disable the blue WiFi status LED which is pretty bright. I want the space to be completely dark when the light is off and the blue LED prevents this.I have a fair amount of experience with DMX and other light systems and this system made it super easy to expand my lighting options to include WLED into my projects. You can tell that the designers put a lot of thought and care into the layout of this board. Highly recommend.

I've purchased 4 so far!
These are awesome plug and play wled boards! I know you could probably DIY your own for a lot less but this makes things so easy to get up and going quickly! It's worth the convenience to support a small company building great products like this! Any time I am building something with wled this is going to be my go to board!

The worst program on the planet..
I will never buy anything from Domestic Automation or WLED.. Paid for shipping for about 3 hours of use and then two hours trying to get it to work.. Connected to Internet but no lights, ws2812b lights work fine on my cheap controllers..I regretfully purchased again because my first one didn't accept an update(software) and is now a brick.. Whomever put the scrolling date on a matrix that needs offsets can stick their offsets because I dont know what an offset is for 9 8×8 panels nor do I give a ship. The writer of this software needs to find a new career.. Garbage, Hate it.. Offsets.. Got a whole day on this one, got it fully setup with scrolling text and 40 presets and a playlist.. I was going to change my review and then came morning and everything was gone.. And it won't let me save a single preset or playlist.. Pretty sad.. Not recommended..

Super easy and the connections and power management is great!
I needed a turnkey solution for a string of 300 lights. As long as you provide the proper power injection where needed, you will be very successful in using this product.I was able to wire together the board and the first 100 lights of 2811 LEDs in under 5 minutes and start experimenting with the web interface. With a 15A 5v power supply, I was able to drive 300LEDs on a 60 foot long string. The LEDs required power injection and I was able to extend the power to the distant parts of the LED without any issues.I highly recommend this for controlling LED lights using WLED without the need to build a DYI controller.Well done!
