open both metal sides, remove battery, then pry back off main body of key - seam is at back face. just pops apart. as others have said, transfer at least the key side. other side optional but might as well xfer both so wear is same. PCB just rests inside, minimal prying.and, as others have said, should have done this a while ago.

Terrible product, we were unable to open/separate the sides no matter what. It needs to be sold in two pieces separated, else no one will be able to pry it open.

I have a 2011 LR RV and the silicone covers kept coming off until I lost both. These fit perfectly and are nice and tight. The only thing is that the key compartment doesn’t close or open very easy.

First the con, the fob comes already snapped together and you have to take it apart. It would have been easier to install the older FOBs innards had I not needed to take this new fob apart.The Pro:This is exactly like the OEM FOB in both appearance and weight. it's actually a little more hardy than the one that came with the vehicle.

I put up with the rubber falling off my OEM key for years. Eventually I completely lost the front side that covered the keys which basically made it unusable and forced me to finally do something.This worked perfectly and I don't know why I didn't do it sooner. It's literally just taking your old key apart and putting it inside this one. I took the old side piece (that says Range Rover) from my OEM key and installed in on this one as well as my cut backup key blade. Both fit on this one just fine.

I bought a spare key fob from the dealer for $422.00. 2 years later it started to come unglued and dirty. It was embarrassing. They didn't want to give me a new one. I found this item on Amazon and gave it a go. NOT DISAPPOINTED! It took me about 15 minutes after watching a YouTube vid. You can even put your original range rover sides back in! Sweet...
