My current favorite scanner as a professional tech
I’ve been in the automotive industry for a decade, used many scanners(including factory scanners) during that time and I own several scanners(from $50 up to $6,500). This scanner is a crazy deal for the features your getting, a true must have scanner if you ask me.- runs launch software(runs quickly and updates frequently)- includes obd1 adapters (bmw and merc for certain and a few others, Honda maybe)- complete battery, starting and charging testing with included battery test leads(6’ long, high quality clamps, only “missing” temp probe for 100% complete battery testing)- TPMS sensor reading/activation(I use the tpms functions daily)- bore scope function(have to buy scope separately, picture is good quality)- full system diag (been able to see all modules on 2023s)- bi-directional control(works on 2023s)- immo functions(key learning, has my Smart Fortwo, harder vehicle to find coverage for)- built in printer to print dtc, battery/start/charge & tpms reports- claims to support fca gateway authentication(with sub, tomorrow I got a vehicle to test this on)- usb a port for bore scope or transferring data to a usb drive- charges using usb c- supports WiFi 6(updates download very quickly)I’ve missed a lot of the features but I’m sure you got an idea now. Full featured scanner, battery tester, tpms tool & printer. All for $450($100 off coupon seems to always be available for this item). Then if you go to the King Bolen website, the borescope add on is $80.What I’m getting at if you haven’t gotten it yet is this. A good scanner costs about $500. This tool is a capable scanner, a tpms tool and a battery tester...all for less $$ than the average capable scanner.Bottom line, Buy Now!! If you’re not a professional, this will likely do everything you could ever want. If you are a professional you know having options is one of the keys to success and this gives you a lot of options for a little $$.

All-in-one scanner New favorite in my garage!
This is the best OBD2 scanner I've owned! Being a DIY mechanic, I do all my car care and repairs on mostly Asian vehicles (Honda/Toyota/Lexus) and recently ran out of the capacity of my beloved XTool D7, which I have owned for multiple years. I really appreciate multiple built-in features with K6 Pro, e.g. for battery testing and TPMS activation and relearn. Don't think of these lightly--I have been looking for TPMS activation tools for my vehicles and, on Honda and Toyota, this couldn't get done with the inexpensive tools good only for GMs. I've only used K6 for a week or so, and this little 6-inch-screen scanner is impressive. It is an all-in-one scan tool with very advanced features. Highlight a few really great features:* Great quality: touch screen is small but responsive; easy to hold in my hand and you feel the build quality. Even the battery tester cable/clamps are so well made and big enough to have a good grip on the terminals.* Outstanding coverage of make and models: It works so well on my Asian cars. Don't have much experience though on the American makes.* Built-in features: As I mentioned, it has the hardware for TPMS and battery test built-in. I really enjoyed the built-in printer; great to have a piece of paper for reference, perhaps even more useful for shope owners with real customers?* Great battery: I used it for multiple days on and off without charging and think it can last 10 hours on one charge.* LOTS of adaptors: It even includes adaptors for OBD1, though I have yet to work on any older vehicles.* Advanced features: I used some of the pro-level features and they worked out great. It is a bi-directional scanner with functions for ECU coding and smart keys (haven't used this yet though).A couple of not-as-goods:- Two years of software updates: I hope they provide a longer period of update. XTool D7, for example, offers 3 years of updates.- Screen size: On the one hand, the smaller screen is good to carry around and very easy with the strap around one's hand. On the other, it's challenging to do complex graphing, e.g. when you need to combine/monitor multiple sensor readings. For now, I couldn't think of anything really negative about K6 Pro.Again, it's the best I've had and it's a bargain for $450. It's now the tool I go to and will see how long it will take for me to run out of its power! I will provide an update then.

Nice tool for the money.
KINGBOLEN K6 PRO 4-IN-1 is another neat tool at a great price. The K6 Pro is quick going through the main and diagnostic menus. Also has a USB type A port for a Videoscope and USB storage device. USB C port for charging the unit.K6 Pro comes with a large sturdy case with everything you need to test the vehicle. Also comes with long cables, the battery cables are long enough to reach from the battery to the inside of most vehicles. The DLC cable, in most cases, is long enough to stretch from the DLC to underneath the hood. If you need a longer cable Kingbolen sells an extension cable that will give you the extra length (60CM/23.6Inch).Be nice if they would offer a kit where you can buy the K6 Pro without the OBD 1 cables and add more printing paper. As of now you only get one roll. Also, with no OBD 1 cables the K6 Pro case can be smaller and the price of the unit can be less.I enjoy using the K6 Pro, especially the diagnostic part, this is where I spend most of my time. And if you are familiar with Launch products, then you will feel right at home due to the K6 Pro using Launch software.
