Longer Laser Engraver Air Assist kit for RAY5 10W/20W, Large Airflow, Adjustable Airflow of 10-30L/min, for CNC Cutting and Laser Engraving, Remove Smoke and Dust Protect Laser Lens Low Noise

Use of air assist gives cleaner engraving so fine print is more legible and cuts do not have burn marks (assuming the piece isn't sitting flat on a table/board). This was very easy to install on a Longer Ray5 10W laser. Simply remove the existing metal "pyramid" that is shielding the laser and replace with the nozzle in this kit. I used a very small fish tank aerator that we had sitting around with great results for engraving. More air, however, is needed for cutting. To accomplish that, I added an adapter to hook it to my shop air compressor (turned down to about 15 psi). Standard 1/4" OD tubing with push to connect adapters fit perfectly.

Easy to install. Instructions could be a little clearer but I figured it out. Great for the price.

I received the product and put it together but have no clue how to use the damn thing, it didn’t come with an instruction manual!! So now I have to find out where to get that! However the product itself seems to be very capable for my needs once I figure out to work it!

I don't have a good 'before' picture to share, but after installing the Air Asist, there are no scorch marks anywhere, and the lines appear crisper. The picture is a guitar pedal chasis I painted, engraved, then clear coated.tl;dr: engravings look better with air assist.

No clear assembly instructions

This pump is nice and quiet. It is quieter than the laser engraver itself. So far so good.

Instructions were actually helpful once you got them off of Youtube.
