acer EK241Y H 23.8-inch Monitor - VA Panel, 1920 x 1080, 5ms, 100Hz, FreeSync, HDMI, VGA

I've had an Acer P.C. for more years than I can remember, probably 10+And, in spite of the fact that I am unable to update it to Windows 11, it's in really good condition and functioning perfectly, so I see no need to change it, just because Microsoft want to squeeze some more money out of me.However, about a week before Xmas/2024, the monitor which came with the P.C. started "playing up."It wouldn't turn on when I booted the P.C. up, in the morning. Fortunately, I found a "workaround," which involved unplugging it, at the back, plugging it back in and then, occasionally, it seemed to work OK.I wasn't immediately worried, as my P.C. is also paired with my T.V. Screen, so I was able to get by.However, as the weeks have gone by, this became more and more inconvenient and, eventually, the monitor screen stopped working altogether.Eliminating the possibility (as the T.V. (monitor) was still working) that it wasn't an issue with the VGA Lead, or power source, I decided to go for a replacement monitor.I ordered this monitor, after some research and although I don't suppose it matters, I was pleased to find another Acer monitor, which I had delivered to my local Post Office, as obviously, it would've been too big to fit into my local Amazon Locker, which I usually use for deliveries, as the Amazon Drivers are prone (on occasions) to leaving parcels outside of my flat, in the hallway!It arrived within 24 hours and I was able to drop down there, pick it up and be home within 5 minutes, very convenient.It was well packaged and protected and surprisingly lightweight, compared to my older monitor.Very easy to set up. Everything, the monitor and the 2 part base, (which is bigger and considerably more solid than the base on my older model) just clicked into place.Luckily, I already had a VGA lead from the old monitor, as my P.C. only has one HDMI output, the lead from which, goes into my T.V.Had a slight issue on "start up," as I was faced with a "blank screen," on the monitor and had to remember to "duplicate" the T.V. Screen with the monitor, in the Windows Settings and then, everything worked perfectly.It's the same size as my old monitor, but there seems, due to much reduced bezels, to be more Screen "real estate."The picture is very clear and sharp, although I may, when time allows, adjust the brightness/contrast etc, to bring it more in line with what I can see on my T.V. Screen.Just one, minor "issue," I would've liked the option to connect to the P.C. via USB, as I find, the VGA connection very "clunky," these days.But, all in all, I am very pleased, thus far. It appears to be an excellent replacement monitor and was very reasonably priced, at £70, on offer!As things stand, I can thoroughly recommend this monitor.

What a fantatstic spec monitor for an unbelievable low price! 31.5" curved, WQHD resolution, 180Hz refresh rate, HDR400, AMD Freesync and built in speakers (though in fairness the latter have virtually no bass) - this monitor has it all! On first set-up the monitor needs a bit of tweaking on both the monitor (set HDR to Auto or HDR400) & within Windows itself (Display - HDR - On/off). If you find the colour within Windows itself a little bland in everyday use (this is a limitation of windows with HDR) turn it off as most games have the option to turn it on again automatically when launched anyway. I also highly recommend the monitor's 'Super Sharpness' function is turned off as this causes Office apps to look absolutely terrible. Importantly when used to play videos & games the monitor delivers and looks absolutely stunning. Probably my best PC upgrade of the year!

TV is great, easy to set up and good picture quality. Only issue was the screw holes in the base stand were too small so made putting the TV together a little tricky.

Brilliant monitor that ticks a lot of boxes (like QHD, very high refresh rates and 400 nits). Definitely worth paying a little bit extra for these.I bought this as a second monitor to go alongside a much more expensive Dell 2721dgf QHD monitor. I didn’t want to buy a cheap non-QHD monitor or one with lower refresh rates as I figured it might look rubbish beside the Dell.I went for the Acer Nitro range as they tended to get very good reviews on dedicated monitor websites. I’m probably not doing the Nitro refresh rates justice by using it more for productivity than gaming but side by side against a much more expensive monitor, I can’t see any difference. If anything, the Nitro is better since it has speakers and the stand is more impressive for sliding up and down.

Very affordable and works excellently. Great picture quality with a large screen size and functionality.

Great quality, it fits perfectly onto my small desk & it came with the HDMI cable too which was very handy! Definitely recommend getting it

Really good, i got an amazing price for it. I mostly play cs2 and pubg, 240 hz is the sweet spot. The only downside is the menu, but after 10 - 15 minutes you get used to it. Overall very happy !

Didn't realise how wide it was
