Extreme accuracy comes at a price but well worth it.
I have been using bluelab products for over eight years. Highly accurate but priced a bit steep for many ordinary gardeners - If you are looking for lab quality and extreme accuracy look no further. All blue lab products that I have tested which include their combo meter, soil ph pen, and the guardian meter have all performed excellent. The ph probes must be kept clean and submerged in a solution (I use tap water that is frequently changed out after each use). To keep the probes lasting you must keep proper maintenance and always be sure to recalibrate one to two times a month for best results. Calibrate in ph 7.0 solution first and follow it up with 4.0 until your ph probe has a check mark in which it should now be perfectly calibrated and accurate. Be careful not to drop your ph probe as they can be fragile that most likely would resulting in accurate readings or cracked glass.

Reliable Probe for Hydro
I have an automated growth chamber (not from Bluelab) and was curious if these would be plug and play in the system. Sure enough, they were! I've bought almost 2 dozen for all my different setups, and, aside from minor issues likely related to user error or shipping, every probe has worked well.Checked each against a separate calibrated meter and found all probes to be fairly accurate as well. Drift was easily corrected by calibration.

Piss, poor shipment
The media could not be loaded. Blue lab is an excellent product works great. This is not a review about the product is about the seller. If you need one go somewhere else this Mickey Mouse operation not suitable for my standers anyways, if they’re willing to send something like this out that speaks for itself trying to sell used products I’m assuming for new pricing I’d be returning this product back to them. I’m buying it somewhere else I recommend, anybody, considering buying from this seller not to do it

3 in a row have been shipped with 90 percent to 100 percent of the required "Probe Storage Solution" gone!
These guys really need to fix their issues!!!3 in a row have been shipped with 90 percent to 100 percent of the required "Probe Storage Solution" gone! This is the same storage liquid that their own manuals and web site state that if you let it dry out the PH Probe will be ruined and unsalvadgeable... There appears to be 2 separate issues:1. They are not screwing the caps on all the way.2. They have gone to a seal made of cheaper material. The first one is simple enough: if they screw it on all the way it MIGHT make it to you with the solution still there and the probe intact. The second is a much bigger problem. To save probable 10 or 12 cents, they have gone to what looks like some sort of cheap vinyl seal. So even if it got to you with enough of the storage solution still there, odds are if you try to store it with the solution refilled to the top for very long (especially on its side) it will likely have leaked out if it's been very long next time you go to use it.I would recommend against buying them until they get their act together and fix these basic problems. Based on the other reviews it looks like I am far from the first to hit this and clearly if they are paying attention at all, they have know about this for some time. At best it is woeful ignorance; at worst it is an extremely aggressive planned obsolescence.

Just what you expect.
I have been using a bluelab Ph tester for more than a year. Fantastic unit, holds calibration for months at a time when taken care of properly. The first Probe lasted most of a year, I bought a replacement from a local shop and was surprised that it was a different Probe than the factory one. It was plastic as opposed to glass. It did not keep calibrated at all. I complained to the shop and was told they didn't understand what my problem was. The PH tester module isn't cheap $230ish dollars, I did not want to have to buy another complete unit. I was hoping that I could replace the probe with something resembling the factory unit. When I got the one I ordered from Amazon I was very happy. It is the exact same as the factory probe! It is made out of glass! It holds calibration! Once again Amazon saves the day!. Thank you.

Previously used BUT they kept the probe wet.
The problem with these probes if 'used' or refurbished is if the probe's been wet and dries out it is DEAD and give you an ERR reading. This came used but the probe was wet in the case- excellent job saved me a ton- thank you!

Good PH probe just tough to get a properly packaged one
They send many of them void of the required storage solution. Either it leaks out during storage at warehouse or when shipped. In any case they are not suppose to be stored dry so when you open the box and see a dry probe you have to get it replaced. Once you get one that is properly packaged with solution they work great. I have had a pen last almost 3 year with proper care. Then took 3 tries to get one that was packaged properly. Although they did replace them until I got a properly package one. Just annoying cause you can't buy an extra and keep it the box sealed in case you break one cause you have to make sure they didn't send you a dry probe.
