Value for money
Got this for my son's layout, he assembled it fairly quickly. All works well with his OO guage layout, he is very pleased with it. Good value for money, would recommend.

Decent operating Turntable with flaws
Fairly straightforward to set up, will run with any DC controller and fits MOST large Tender Engines & Diesel Locos.However, there are issues:The motor itself itself is a cheap type 7 motor which is noisy in it's housing.The handrails that you can fit onto the main turntable bend way too easily, feel cheap and do not stay on properly.The special track pieces are elevated at a high angle and will cause larger engines to derail.Other than those issues, it's a decent turntable for the money.

Husband is very happy with this turntable - the previous one was really old and didn’t work properly, this one does the trick very nicely

Hornby R070 00 guage Turntable
My 7 year old grandson purchased the turtable out of his bBirthday money to go with his Model Railway in Grandads loft. This product does exactly as it says in the box ,it was extremly easy to connect and modify for DCC operation .I downloaded the instructions from the Hornby web site and purchased the necessary chip. Not ever having wired train accesories was rather nervous. but no need to be it wes easy.I would recomend this item .Having read the review about it being tired and having to rest I can only say with DCC operation it works continuous and no sign of strugling

Needs fettling to work
Purchased this to enhance a fiddle yard. I converted mine to DCC, which is easily possible with minimal effort. Out of the box the mechanism is so noisy - packing the mechanism with grease reduced this a lot (why don't Hornby do this from the factory?). I also found the positioning of the entry rails to the turntable was inconsistent resulting in black spots for railpower. I won't be using this in my layout, it just not good enough.
